Why did they only play the theme song once?
They are good at bombarding us with music and noise before the game and during breaks, and after goals.
But when we actually wanted to hear the song to celebrate a memorable win against the odds and our mortal enemy they only played it once!
Normally after a win they play it about six times!
Many fans had to sing it by themselves - unplugged.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Why did they only play the theme song once?
Everyone around me said the same thing. Usually we'd hear it at least twice.
Odd.
Not a good development if deliberate

The work experience kid was in charge today. No stats for the whole game. Kept playing the "Knock Knock" track after a goal. Played our theme once.

Also does anyone know what happened to the player numbers for the interchange.
Previously the numbers of the players on the bench have been shown on the second tier stand ( outer side)

Think it's safe to say Etihad Stadium had mare of a day yesterday.

Re: Why did they only play the theme song once?
The new Bozo commentator set the scene about 45 minutes before the game when he asked a Saints supporter "For how long have you been a member ?" . Answer "Ten years ". " ah yes", says the commentator", "So you remember the 97 and 98 grand finals ". Wrong both mathematically, and as to our involvement in the latter .Grimfang wrote:Think it's safe to say Etihad Stadium had mare of a day yesterday.
He also described the " Beat the Bayside Biker " segment as " the highlight of the day ", then paused at the stupidity of his comment and added " Um, Except for a Saints win".
There is nothing wrong with silence before a game and at the end of quarters- please just get rid of these people making noise, and just play our song multiple times when we win .
As to the delays getting into the ground, I do not have a lot of sympathy for people who arrive shortly before the bounce , without having a ticket, and expect to get straight in. This has been a well-publicised issue over the years, and even more so in recent times with bag searches.

Re: Why did they only play the theme song once?
How hard is it to run a stadium?
This was disgraceful - so many Saints fans standing around at a home game waiting to hear the song for a second time and it wasn't played.
Our home game, and we don't even hear our own theme song.
Seriously?
The fans had to sing it themselves!!
And the bozo with the microphone at the start of the game made the comment that the Saints members "might see another grand final this year". Have you looked at the ladder mate? What sort of half-wit do they pay to do this stuff? A 10-year old would have done a better job.
Absolute muppets.

And since when has it been legal to bring a bass drum into the ground?
How did the Caaaarlscum CS smuggle that in?
Obviously security let them bring it in.
But why?
I think we can do without that sort of third world mindless noise. Next they will have those stupid horns the brain dead soccer f'wits blow mindlessly. That will be when I stop going.

Re: Why did they only play the theme song once?
Did anyone notice they banged out the Tigers theme song about 5 times after their 'victory' over the Gold Coast?
Their flog supporters carried on like they had won the flag. They probably had a mad Monday.
