The mods are having a lend of us again.
They have given this peanut a one month ban.
And then what?
He/it comes back we go through the charade again.

Re: Locals why no permanent ban?
SP, fair crack. He's got a month ban. Not two weeks. A permanent ban would have been definitive and in my mod experience, has been reserved for really really bad abuse or oppo supporters having a lend. Locals322 fits neither of those categories. Will be on a very short leash when he/she returns.saintspremiers wrote:The mods are having a lend of us again.

Re: Locals why no permanent ban?
Thanks. In the "poll" regarding trolling, more than a third of posters felt the posters in question are not trolling. So the mods decision has reflected a significant majority of posters. But it is by no means a unanimous or even near unanimous opinion on the forum. There are a significant number of posters who feel no action should have been taken.magnifisaint wrote:We will keep you informedst.byron wrote:SP, fair crack. He's got a month ban. Not two weeks. Here is the trolling policy as per the rules :
"TROLL POLICY
“Trolls” are defined as posters who have the only goal to create friction and anger in our community.
Any poster, who has the sole aim to create friction and anger in our community may be eligible for an official Saintsational warning / a one month ban, or account deletion by the administrators."
In this case, Locals322 has been banned for a month and is on a last warning. Rather than being issued with a permanent ban, the poster has a chance to continue posting without the posting style regarded as trolling. Fair enough I reckon for a person to have a second chance.

There is no evidence of that at all.
IP address history for one poster shows 90% of posts from the same Melbourne IP address.
IP address history for the other poster shows less than 10 posts each from multiple random IP addresses all over the world, clearly someone posting with a VPN masking their actual IP address.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
