The Age "coverage" of our game
The so called football journalist describes Goddard as a "key forward".
In four columns of waffle doesn't even see fit to mention Paddy or his serious injury.
Then says that Riewoldt "struggled with his knee soreness" apparently unaware of the knee clash early in the game.
90% of the article was about the Crows.
Clearly this journalist either wasn't even at the game, is a card carrying Crows supporter, or more likely just has nfi.

Re: The Age "coverage" of our game
Disgraceful Adelaide biased journalism. The Age standard has dropped so far down these days that they get second hand match reports from hacks in Adelaide.
Curb your enthusiasm - you’re a St.Kilda supporter!!

Triple M 6:00am news this morning reported that Paddy McCartin suffered a season ending Achilles injury.

Name is Ashley Porter.
Is that a he or a she name?
Probably spent the match updating Facebook status and checking fashion blogs!

Yes I agree, he should've filled half a page telling us how good we were.Enrico_Misso wrote:The so called football journalist describes Goddard as a "key forward".

There's plenty of threads about how bad we were yesterday. This one is about the poor coverage in The Age.

We deserved accurate coverage.

Re: The Age "coverage" of our game
Ashley Porter is a he, about 70 years of age, career as a sports reporter with News Corp ("The News" and then "The Adelaide Advertiser" when Adelaide became a Murdoch one paper City - which says something about SA returning Labor governments despite the unrelenting Murdoch bias we see in the "Herald Sun" in Melbourne!).
Probably free lancing in "retirement" these days hence articles in the Fairfax media where he has now appeared for some time and usually with balance and insight.
Parents were Ruth and Max.
Want to know anymore?

No players stats for the match in my copy and couldn't find them in the on-line version either.

Wow why don't you drop back to 1974 where a comment like that livesEnrico_Misso wrote:Name is Ashley Porter.

BTW There are plenty of Ashleys how about Ash McGrath (lions player) Ash Naylor (Melbourne guitarist)

Facebook and blogs weren't around in the 1970's.

Re: The Age "coverage" of our game
Ashley is the boy spelling and Ashleigh is the girl spelling generally. No offense to anyone this contradicts.
Don't worry, you can still read a big spread in today's Age about Richmond and Collingwood who like us got flogged on the weekend.
And if you tune into SEN right now they would most likely be talking about Richmond or Travis Cloke or both at the same time.
And Mark Fine won't talk about St Kilda even after we beat Fremantle immediately following the Sunday night game on Final Siren. Don't think he'll be talking about Saints this week.
The best we can expect is a follow up piece from Caroline Wilson (who was the only person to tip Fremantle from The Age) who last week wrote about our healthy list selection problem, to write about sods law re Goddard, Reiwoldt, Fisher, Dempster, Paddy, and Freeman.

Yes, their coverage was pathetic and inept which was what I was trying to highlight.StPeter wrote:No players stats for the match in my copy and couldn't find them in the on-line version either.
The #1 draft pick gets taken off on a stretcher and not only does the "journalist" not see fit to mention it, but he isn 't even listed in the injuries much less giving an update to concerned fans.

No and if you had some idea you'd know that I have been on the forum for 15 years... a long time before that other moron ever posted.
I just dont get upset by menial things like that... who cares? Don't read the Age as there are plenty of ways to get analysis.
i care more about how the club is going than how news services are reporting...

I already reported for posts in this thread (both your reasons as mentioned). Report was closed, guess nothing came of it. You're welcome to try your luck thoughfreely wrote:Enrico_Misso wrote:Name is Ashley Porter.

Re: The Age "coverage" of our game
Apparently, according to SEN, Allan Richardson is considering playing "Cameron Delaney" on Sunday.
