Savage kicks to four eagles in the corridor. Didnt need to kick at all. Should have kept running to get over the zone.

But actually a much better quarter despite the inaccuracy.
I reckon we'll do better next half. Just have to keep chipping away.

Much better qtr at least. We cranked up our pressure game. This is the Grand finalist playing on their home deck with umpire advantage. Way too tall forward and they have a blue ribbon midfield. A good lesson for us not to get too far ahead of ourselves.

Goalkicking is horrid. They had a crack at least that qtr. Really worried about Lonie. Gresham showed somehting. Bruces kicking is getting worse by the week.
Eagles being lookedcafter as per usual over there.

What's the umpiring like. Any bearing on the result?

They were gutted after last week. I saw Newnes on wednesday and he was still hurting. Nice kid and I guess thats the point , they are just kids.... well most of themSemperFidelis wrote:This!degruch wrote:Good spread of point kickers.

Short answer no. It's been ordinary but we'd be getting belted either waymagnifisaint wrote:What's the umpiring like. Any bearing on the result?
Re: Match Thread Saints v Eagles @ Subi
I think Roo has to play forward full time. WE need a focal point forward to help Bruce and Membrey isn't doing it. Lonie needs a good spell in the 2;s to let his little body heal up after a year of tackling guys who are much bigger than him. He's lost his mojo. Sinclair and Gresham showing a bit. Armo doesn;t look right to me. Steven well held. Need him to get off the chain. Monty needs to step up too but Eagles doing good shut down jobs on our key play makers. Dunstan needs another big 3rd qtr and Acres has to force his way into it with his big body. Ross and Newnes can look very average with the ball sometimes.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Eagles @ Subi
Less influence in the second quarter. But you have to love the commentators. "Well, he might be a bit surprised not to get a kick there". That was trotted out about 3 times this quarter.magnifisaint wrote:What's the umpiring like. Any bearing on the result?
It's the ones we don't get.
But irrelevant because it's not the umps causing us to miss set shots. We're managing that beautifully all by ourselves.
