Not a great deal to take out of that game.
No real stand out performances. Very congested.
I cant see anyone getting picked for the saints on the back of it...

On BigFooty they indicated that Lee played well. But did he lay any tackles?bigred wrote:Not a great deal to take out of that game.

Rooey's old man was knocked off his bike outside the ground. He was tended by the Sandy doc. He's okay!

Not sure if Lee had any tackles but he took some good marks while trying to negotiate the wind. Paddy didn't do anything much nor did Goddard, Really, if anyone aside from Lee get a game in the seniors next week then the seniors aren't being picked on form.saintsRrising wrote:On BigFooty they indicated that Lee played well. Lee's marking, kicking and general endeavour was excellent.
Pretty sure he had several tackles.

His kicking is very, very good. He did one kick out from the goal square that cleared the center circle.

Looks like they blew it in the second qtr - lesson to learn there about learning to lock things down for a bit when the momentum is against you. And maybe they got ahead of themselves after a big first qtr. Sounds like Lee did well again and Paddy with a couple in windy conditions is solid. CAsey were top so not a bad effort. They would have missed Eli who was in good ball getting form. Thanks for the updates.

Lee was very good - took saving marks. Maybe Sandy's best?
McKenzie (70) and White (65) would have been among the 5 or 6 best for Sandy. Rice was pretty quiet.
Shenton was good.
Curren didn't really impact much - neither did Minchington. Saunders tried hard; kicked a nice running goal.
Casey's midfielders definitely held sway.
Kreymborg? ... would have been among the best. I think he may have kicked 3 or 4 goals?
The windy conditions wouldn't have suited McCartin - but he created a couple of goals and also snapped a couple himself.
He stayed mainly in the f50... wasn't roaming around as much as he did last week.
Goddard tried hard. So did Wright - who showed his usual dash, but his kicking continues to disappoint.

Lee was the best Sandy player, Wright and Mckenzie were both very good. Conditions didn't help Paddy at all. Goddard did ok on Dawes
