Re: Armitage?
None of those wanker commentators on today give a stuff about us.BigMart wrote:What happened to him
The commentators were continually talking about Wells and Higgins who both came back on
Armo
Not a word
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

Re: Armitage?
Wells was on camera riding a bike for 5 mins in the last quarter. We also watched Higgins get strapped.

I didn't even know until now, stats say he was off last 27minutes. Quality commentary.

Re: Armitage?
Shocking commentry. The fact the Leigh Matthews seemed to thing the free to Goldstein was OK just makes me think they're paid to say what they're told, and tow the 'company line'.
Re: Armitage?
Matthews was clearly there to support every decision. When your argument is that hickey looked at Goldstein then there is an issue. I don't recall the rule book mentioning where the player is looking.Toy Saint wrote:Shocking commentry. Re: Armitage?
The Company line is followed regardless - it is how these individuals continue to earn a living.
The exposure that betting and betting agencies receive is at the core - because those in the industry bet.
So, to coin an old phrase, they see things thru the bottom of their pockets - and that goes from the highest levels of the AFL and includes their adjudicators who deliberately and knowingly achieve results in matches (including by direction of administration) - as we have yet again seen this weekend including today.
Ask yourself what vocation these individuals could embark on to earn a living if they were not inside the AFL tent massaging their egos?
We have seen Maguire as CEO of Channel 9 as but one example.

Re: Armitage?
Yes, and we hate to wait for Richo in the presser to let us know it was concussion. I was listening to 693 AM radio on the way him from the game. Their interviewer was in the NM rooms after the game interviewing Petrie - fair enough. He was then asked about injuries. He talked about Higgins and Wells rising from their death beds to be heroes. Then he said the Saints had a "clean bill of health ". In other words- he had no idea that Armo was off the ground , could not give a stuff to ask and was making it up. Turkey.

I wouldn't be surprised if an umpire became a channel 7 commentator.BigMart wrote:Close to a hammy?!
