Agree. Ridiculous statement. Dunstan is a tough inside mid who is on the way to being elite.desertsaint wrote:'luckiest player on the list'. ridiculous and deliberately imflammatory statement.BigMart wrote:So if he was superb in the last
How were his first three quarters
Just pointing out the obvious
He wasn't very good
His numbers this year are not good enough
just pointing out the obvious.
His disposal numbers this year are the same as the last two years. Has improved his average tackles per game from 3.7 in 2014 and 3.8 in 2015 to 5.8 this year.
Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
Why is everyone sooking that I'm pointing out a player who clearly had an average game (and season)
It was fairly obvious
FFS
As a mid
He's averaging 17ppg
But more to the point
6.5 kicks per game
As a mid, that is poor

No one is sooking. We are all just trying to point out that you are wrong.BigMart wrote:Why is everyone sooking that I'm pointing out a player who clearly had an average game (and season)

Yes,if north are the benchmark this year,am happy with where we are at the moment
Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
With what facts?
Others than emotion??
What is elite in his game,
Ball getting? disposal? Speed? Endurance? Marking? Hands?
He gets games (in the midfield), even though he underperforms ... Whilst the graveyard of Small Fwd, two bad games and you're out.
Blake Acres has been dropped twice this year... Done his time in the VFL
As a fwd/mid averaging 20ppg
Luke Dunstan has never played at Sandringham

Big Mart.. You do contribute a lot of insight on thi. But ... Sometimes you make me wonder. Anyone can quote stats for and against, but they welcome tell the true story. Luke busted his arse like all the other players. So glad you're not coach or selection panel no one would get a game after a loss... Time to chill out ... brilliant effort by all on the field. Sometimes I wonder if you have ever pulled on s boot, case if you have you've played sore and worse . You seem to expect every player to be BOG. It was a great TEAM effort

Me too. Cheats never prosper, or so my dad told me, but these pricks seem to get away with shafting us.

The coach just gave Dunstan some fairly enormous praise in his press conference. Well deserved too.BigMart wrote:With what facts?

Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
Huge blow not having Sinclair today and moreso as our three smallest players did not really impact the game though Gresham's game showed problem.
However we lack mids and so most likely replacement are also smalls in Templeton (taller but still lightly framed) and Curren.
We really need Freeman badly.
Murdoch has had some good games now and so perhaps may be time to give him another shot.

Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
How was his first three quarters?
It's a simple question... He was in a midfield getting smashed at clearance! Jack was being tagged... We needed Ross and Luke to step up
At half time they had 14 disposals between them. Cunnington was dominating at stoppage.
AR - we know his view on Luke.

Dunstan last qtr was awesome. He had a ten minute burst of total domination.

Came good as the match went on like the other midfielders. Until 3/4 time, without looking at the stats, we were smashed in the clearancesskeptic wrote:Curiously, how did Sebastian Ross play?

Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
Would have liked a better effort from Steven if we want to talk mids- allowed himself to be taken out of the contest too easily. He was the guy we needed to make our linkups into the forward line work, but played from behind too much. Just remember, North are on top because they are good across all lines, and have a tough, hard midfield who play from the front.
