Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
I've had enough of Basil Dumpling... He's so pro Norf it's sickening. If the umps give us s 50/50 break we can get up .. They are no where near as good a team GWS despite what the ladder says
And the president said " I did not have sex with that woman"
And our former president said " Football is like golf"
Go Sainters !!!!!

Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
We are pressing too high.
It's actually us who are clogging our forward line. If the fall back and drop off we need to drag them out by using the perimeter.
If the get out, they are in a paddock
But firstly
The clearances... We are in to tight

Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
No real plan going into the forward line- need to keep their eyes down and pick out targets. Just can't see a lot of system in our midfield.

Umpires cheat.
Been saying it for years.
Just ask any Crows supporter.

Just struggled to score despite plenty of atacking. Set shots a bit too far our, and we can catch the long bombs. Norf defence has got the edge. Their tall forwards havn't caused too much damage yet. Roo good today.

Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
every cheap free they get allows them to break and run the footy down usually for a goal..it's as if the frees are scripted.

Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
Unfortunately, unlike last week, many of the youngsters are not stepping up to support the veterans. Roo, Joey, Gilbo all strong. Need more from Bruce, Membrey, Billings, Lonie, Acres, Minch . Also it looks like they need to practise their set shots from 52- they've had plenty of them.
Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
We are matching them Stat wise just choosing wrong options going forward. Too many handballs in stead of kicking turnover city and gifting goals the other way.

Lonie not doing much.
One year will be our year
Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
Forwards in general need to get involved, think the stat was 57% time in our forward half but our forwards are right at the bottom on possession count.magnifisaint wrote:Forwards need to get some separation. Lonie and Minchington need to get involved. Gilbo doing well.
Re: Saints v Kangaroos match thread
If you have a look at forwards possessions
Lonie 3
Bruce 3
Minchington 4
Gresham 6
Acres 4
Try and get a kick i50 when there's 30 players there

Apparently, the deliberate out of bounds rule was a figment of everyones imagination.

This is somewhat frustrating.
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....
