Predictions vs Roo's
Hi all
Seen a few posts with comments both positive and negative against the roos so I was just curious as to what people’s predictions are.
Mine are
Roo to play further back than normal today with most of his run coming between defensive 50 and midway, will be absolutely pivotal to setting the pace heading forward
Dempster/Fisher to concede 3 goals between them. These boys have alot of pride and wouldn't be happy with the efforts last week
Bruce to get up early in the forward line. He's been building and with the teams ball movement all the better for repeat games at home.
Saints seem to be learning the lesson of, work hard and the results will come. Kind of feel against GWS we were still set on the game VS hawks.
Steven/armo to combine for 60 + touches and a couple of goals
Hickey to step up his fine form this season
the saints to upset the roos to the tune of 25 points.
I know may seem a bit dreamy however the roo's have to lose some time, We are coming in with minimal injuries, 2 straight games at home, extra days break, Pressure for spots have returned and with no Thomas who usually creates issues for us.

Goldstien a late out
Hickey to dominate
Pressure them into mistakes
Plenty of goals out the back
The slingshot will make their forward line look slow and ordinary

Re: Predictions vs Roo's
Will need to be all legs & accuracy today to be within shot, with Billings and Minch and Sinclair to do the damage up forward.
Thomas is a pretty big out. Let's hope Goldstein is out too - then we might have a chance.
As posted above Roo dropping back could be the call of the day. Expect to see Gilbert play a key defensive role. Reckon we have listed him in the center as a bit of a bluff. Thought his run and even his kicking out of the backline was super last week.

Re: Predictions vs Roo's
Gilbert played his usual midfield/unaccountable role last week and managed 17 disposals and a tackle. Yes he kicked it well and much better than usual but 'super' seems like an exaggeration. All Gilbert has to do is have an ok game and people then go and make outrageous claims about it.millarsaint wrote:Will need to be all legs & accuracy today to be within shot, with Billings and Minch and Sinclair to do the damage up forward.

Gilbert is in our best 22 but when people throw around words like 'super' 'great' or 'gun' then I have to intervene. He isnt in the top 300 AFL players.
AFL power rankings have him ranked 364th in the AFL. He is better than that because the rankings account for guys who have played under 50 games but no way is he top 200.

Gresham to have his best game to date.
Con to melt down after the game.

Re: Predictions vs Roo's
Saints to be leading at 3/4 time. After that she's anyone's guess!
Reckon we'll keep pace for a fair chunk of the game...really hope we don't start slow...need the first couple
Acres to continue with form
Gresh breakout game - rising star nom
