Re: Captain Mav?
He was very important to us today. I'd like him to do that again!
*Allegedly.

Needs to bring consistency to his game before he gets the big tick.
Like many, the variance between his best and worst is too great. Needs to find a way to contribute even when he gets beaten

Re: Captain Mav?
To be a captain you don't need to be the best player. You need someone that the players will listen to and follow. A player that can do media and sponsor duties. A player that can teach and nurture the young ones coming through. If this is mav then I'm all for it. There are current captains of afl sides that aren't captain worthy. They are great players but not good captains.

Re: Captain Mav?
his post match interview was great, spoke well but seems to have genuine passion, commitment and a really strong bond to the playing group and the clubfelix wrote:Spoke well in thei post match vid...used the word pleasing a few times which I thought was funny.
impressive, keep up the good work on and off the field Mav

Re: Captain Mav?
I am a big wrap for Jack Newnes. What I most like about Newnes is he doesnt go missing when we are losing. e.g Against Bulldogs in the first half he was the only bloke offering any resistance. But I have noticed it quite a lot over his short career.
