Re: Minch has 5 goals
Sorry Minch...........5 goals to follow up a 44 disposal game..........unfortunately Ross ripped it up with a 10 possie game, so you'll have to wait a bit longer
Nee!

Re: Minch has 5 goals
Minch must have porked the coach's daughter. There is no objective reason why he isnt being given an opportunity to play in the midfield at AFL level.
It isnt like we have a great midfield that is performing well and hard to break into. I mean come on. Some objectivity please.

Go figure....
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

Gresham, Cleary didn't deserve a game this week
Not sure how or why he was selected

Re: Minch has 5 goals
Some of the posters on here where saying continuity. Acres and Lee need continuity. If they are not going to play Lee even when Carlisle is out then should have got rid of him last year.

Re: Minch has 5 goals
I think Gresham needs to go back to VFL level and prove that he deserves to be ahead of others on the senior list.
Hopefully the coach doesn't make the mistake of thinking that Gresham will improve by staying in the team. I think he'll be very good player in a few years time but competition between players is healthy for the long term benefit of team and leaving him in the team sends the wrong message

Re: Minch has 5 goals
Minch absolutely has to play vs Collingwood if form means anything at all at the selection table. Gresham's confidence would be shattered after not being able to get involve in round one and making six bad clangers from 13 touches tonight. Needs to go and get used to playing senior footy in the VFL and work into some form before he's considered again.

Re: Minch has 5 goals
Ross went to Bontempelli at Qrt time and completely nullified him. In the last Ross was released and he ended up racking in 18 or so possessions.
Bontempelli was at 12 at Qrt time and finished with 23.

Re: Minch has 5 goals
Ross was ok. Not great but was ok. I thought Armo went missing at crucial times and we lacked pace - e.g Freeman was badly needed out there and maybe McKenzie as well. The worry for me is Dunstan and Gresh aint ready. Then we have a whole lot of GOPs - Geary, Savage, Roberton, Gilbo etc.Spinner wrote:Ross went to Bontempelli at Qrt time and completely nullified him. Re: Minch has 5 goals
True but let's not get carried away with Freeman being a badly needed answer yet. All the talk with him is still based on pre-draft days and given the time and money Collingwood spent on him, he may never get his body quite right.Con Gorozidis wrote:Ross was ok. Re: Minch has 5 goals
Partly cloudy on Saturday, 24 with the chance of meatball. Let's hope he makes the most of it this time (if he gets selected) and that his sparks of brilliance at VFL level translates to a solid AFL career.
