Moorabbin. Then again I never saw us at the Juction except once when it was Fitzroy's home ground. From memory we were absolutely thumped.
Moorabbin had a great, parochial atmosphere and characters. It felt like home even when we were a lousy side

Yes, I should have made two different categories -- SPECTATOR COMFORT and SPECTATOR VIEWING.saynta wrote:Clearly not if you put viewer comfort at the JO ahead of Waverley.avid wrote:FOR CONVENIENCE:
1 Junction (I live in St Kilda)
2 Etihad
3 The 'Bin
4 Waverley
FOR SPECTATOR VIEWING COMFORT
1 Etihad
2 Moorabbin
3 Junction
4 Waverley
FOR ATMOSPHERE:
1 Moorabbin
2 Junction
3 Etihad
4 Waverley
FOR SENTIMENT:
1 Junction
2 Moorabbin
3 Eithad
4 Waverley
Clearly I was not a big fan of Waverley
Waverly might beat the Junction and Moorabbin for COMFORT, on the grounds that it at least had proper toilets in the outer.
But it did seem 10 degrees colder there.
And I always preferred standing to sitting.
In terms of VIEWING, though, you always seemed a mile and a half away from the action at Waverley. I felt much more in it at the Junction.
Etihad obviously has superb viewing angles, but lacks just about any other related charm.
Except when we win, and it doesn't matter much where we are.

Etihad sucks us dry- hate it for that reason alone. I only really knew Moorabin and waverley and Moorabin for the memories of the grand old days of football. Waverley was a more successful era in my life time.

Should re-open Moorabbin as a boutique stadium for 3 or 4 games a year when we play the teams from Interstate that have no supporters in Victoria e.g.. Fremantle, Port, Gold Coast and GWS. We will always lose money playing these teams at Jihad.

Got 200 million and a different council?

Re: Which old ground do you prefer?
We would save millions by not playing these teams at Jihad to crowds of around 20,000 or so. However I now longer live in the City of Kingston so cannot vote out any opposed councillors I'm afraid.ripplug66 wrote:Bowey Boy wrote:Should re-open Moorabbin as a boutique stadium for 3 or 4 games a year when we play the teams from Interstate that have no supporters in Victoria e.g.. Moorabbin and the disco. I miss the old suburban grounds.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

The current council wont let us play AFL games there. Not a hope. By the way when are you funny?
