A prospect that is no stranger to recruiters is Kilkenny product Darragh Joyce.

The 192cm hurler once again showed he has all the attributes to make the switch, with St Kilda keeping close tabs on the 18-year-old after he did some testing with the Saints back in October.

Sounds like our recruiters are continuing to explore all options including more of the International option. I'm hoping J.Holmes continues to make significant progress in 2016 and would love to see our recruiters pull one out of the hat with the Irish Hurler Joyce. In both cases athleticism looks impressive.Keep turning over every stone Saintly Recruiters.

I certainly support this. Sure it's a punt - but the way the AFL has set it up it is basically a free swing anyway. We dont have to give up a list spot. So we might as well exploit this system.

Ok I will admit I don't know much about hurling , but what attributes does a hurler have that might translate to AFL ?

General athleticism. No ringing endorsement but the O'hailpin brothers were recruited from hurling.... So maybe kicking a Cloke?

Yep, if we can find a way to convert arse kicking into goal kicking, we'll have found a formula for winning games!

Apparently he's the "next Tommy Walsh", unfortunately.
