I know just the sport scientist to achieve this.samuraisaint wrote:Our conversion inside the forward 50 just doesn't cut it. The field kicking forward of the centre square is not anywhere near where it should be. Eagles' defence is patched up and we should be able to hurt them if we get the ball in our forward line, but we're not. Our endeavour is good but our tackling needs to get better, or the players need a strength building program, so that we hurt them when we're tackiling them.

If anything I've got to say great effort, we need some Richo magic and get some rewards.

Re: Match thread v Eagles
I think tonight is another lesson on what we already know. Our effort and pressure are top notch. But we lack speed and class through the midfield who can break the lines and kick it to our advantage inside 50. Too much sideways movement and too many crabs.

Not sure why you still have such a bee in your bonnet about that…Con Gorozidis wrote:Was said on here during the week by one poster (cant remember who).dragit wrote:I don't remember anyone saying that. Ever.skeptic wrote:Some ppl say Gilbert is a top 5 player at the Saints or an elite AFL player.
I just don't get it
Also I found it funny when the club had a press conference when he returned from injury in rd 12 or whenever it was. Sorry but Gilbert doesnt warrant a press conference. I rate him as about our 10th best player. The guy is a good battler - similar to Geary.
Top 10 player who misses most of two years to injury, I think his return would warrant a presser… they put a player up every week as it is, might as well be the guy returning after a long lay-off.

I've heard about that being a rule. Please explain how it works.Kate wrote:We can only dream of one of our forwards getting a blocking free.

And that goal by #3 from WCE... I believe that was Sam Gilbert running onto the loose ball and missing it.
I don't understand why i'm copping flak for this
What exactly is it that you guys are watching.
His game tonight has been TERRIBLE so far

50 goal season for Bruce.
Thats pretty bloody impressive. Thats about 45 more goals than we would have put him down for.
