These match reports are getting hard to read...
Every week the focus is purely on how bad the umpiring is

We have been woeful in the forward third today, so wasteful, Sydney are making every rebound a 12 point play.

Yes sorry, I guess everyone wants to vent when they feel we are getting the rough end…skeptic wrote:These match reports are getting hard to read...

Tippet goals (after close-lining savage)
Swans 60
Saints 21
This is going to get ugly.

Swans players given so much latitude to drive players into the ground after Saints players dispose the ball.

We're about 5 midfielders & 2 key forwards short of competing with teams like this.
Another million in the cap would be handy.
Bruce & Hickey have 3 touches between them

That's fine, do you think they've been good? The Fireman wrote:Sorry if I'm laughing at those worried about the umps. This could get ugly
Swans are clearly a much better side, but I still think we've had a rough run.

Re: Saints v Swans Match Thread
The effort is just 5% off today, but that's all it takes against a team like the swans.
Goddard has been good defensively, needs a bit more composure when he's got the ball but he's just about the only positive thus far.

Actually he's really putting in today. Doing a lot of defensive running. He hasn't made his tackles sticjk and doesn't have good endurance , at this stage so expect him to tire but the endeavour is there.Con Gorozidis wrote:Murdoch is a beautiful kick but slow. Richards ran away for him.

I'd like to see Holmes forward at some point.
Tell him to lead and go for the ball instead of just following a player around the ground.
