Re: Team v Cats
Surely Markworth gets a run before Ray? Don't see the sense in playing Ray when you've had a guy on the list for 4 years and haven't had a look at him? Faz has been a terrific servant but the time was right to have a look at Markworth!
Re: Team v Cats
7 changes, but 5 of them have played games this year already. Murdoch is due for a game, markworth close as well, and Holmes is getting a look in case we trade longer I reckon. Holmes and hickey combo worth a run.

He'd have to be a sure thing next week.Kernal75 wrote:Surely Markworth gets a run before Ray? Don't see the sense in playing Ray when you've had a guy on the list for 4 years and haven't had a look at him? Faz has been a terrific servant but the time was right to have a look at Markworth!

Re: Team v Cats
I don't get the logic with the ruck issue on this site.
We have three rucks in contention for the senior team. One is already a quality traditional ruckman, the other is a lesser ruck but can play a bit up front. The third is a 25 year old who was introduced to the sport by an Adam Sandler movie and played his first game at any level last year. So why exactly would we trade the best one we have?

Re: Team v Cats
Well I'd stop short of calling it tanking, but it looks as though the cue is definitely in the rack.
i would have liked another win to try to finish above Melbourne, but may have to console myself with a few prospects getting a shot at it

With Dempster and Armo out they probably wanted his experience. I agree it'd be good to see Markworth though.Kernal75 wrote:Surely Markworth gets a run before Ray? Re: Team v Cats
We should not trade a ruck this year as there will be a number of ruckman on the market meaning you won't get fair trade for them.
We only have 4 ruckman on our list anyway, 2 are just about AFL quality but very different types of players, neither complete rucks.
One is about to play his first game and is about as raw as it is possible to be and the other is only good enough to be a 2nd string ruck for Sandi.
As for Ray, we lost a couple of senior bodies so we need some bigger more hardened bodies to help out the kids.
We want the kids to get a feel of the heat of the AFL not to get burnt to a crisp.

Re: Team v Cats
Great to see Bull Murdoch in the ones.
He was my pick to step up this year, and obviously injuries have been the problem.
I think he sits very comfortably with the best of our young players as far as upside skill and potential go,

Nee!

I'm excited to see the named side run out...
My first game in ages.
Time for a RW&B fix, not fussy who plays
Oh, and sneaky suspicion ill be sitting in my nursing home chair one day with a nanna blanket, my falsies in a jar, saying "I remember when young Jason Holmes made his debut"

Suprised Markworth didn't get selected, seems in good form to me, give the kid a go for crying out loud.

We wouldn't beat any of these sides anyway Big Carl. We have to look long term. Enjoy thisbigcarl wrote:Well I'd stop short of calling it tanking, but it looks as though the cue is definitely in the rack.
