Ain't gunna happen. AR has said he wants to get games into him and others..
I think Roo, Bruce, Paddy and Membry all in the forward line is very top heavy.
If we did that we are tanking surely. 4 talls no matter where they play just means the ball comes out of our forward line so quickly. 3 is nearly to many the way Bruce and McCartin play. These days a lot of the leading forwards are mid sized players like Membery but they don't have 3 talls around them.
......we're not fighting for finals this year...so I reckon we can flirt with romantic selection.....
.....
You may not have got it exactly right but you were closer than me with the talls. The side this week is completely unbalanced unless a tall is a sub. Cant see any other way it works.

I think Paddy copped a paddy-whack last week? Looked ginger.
If we are going to play the two Rucks, then Roo should push up and roam between the two 50m arcs and then drift fwd when the opportunity arises.
We look poor with three big fellas anchored fwd.

I can't wait for when Nic Nat from the WC Eagles gives Paddy a clip one day - Nick Nat Paddy Wack!Con Gorozidis wrote:I think Paddy copped a paddy-whack last week? Looked ginger.

Anyway, where's the official team thread for this week? I can't seem to find it.

I thought Skunk would've been a certainty, especially with Paddy out!!
Surely we won't go with Hickey and Longer resting up forward??

Well we have to because they cant rest on the bench. The only other option is sub but if we get an early injury we are stuffed.

Re: Guess this weeks ins and outs
Lets be honest, it's not as if we are losing massive output at present with Hickey playing forward instead of Paddy. Paddy doesn't look even close to actually taking a game by the scruff and kicking a swag of goals, and thats not a critisicm, it's just how i see his development at the moment. Hickey has shown glimpses of forward potential and playing out full games is good for his ability to build a tank, and he provides a solid ruck alternative for 30-40% ruck time. I like that the coaches are looking beyond the right here right now. THink perhaps Saunders or Wright can warm the sub vest for versatility and run.plugger66 wrote:saintbob wrote:I thought Skunk would've been a certainty, especially with Paddy out!!

I don't want to step on any toes. Anyway, I like to start the match thread when I can (not this weekend though).kosifantutti wrote:You can start one.
