Yup - have watch most of the first quarter and he has touched it maybe once.kosifantutti wrote:It seems Crackers got it wrong. He's playing on Channel 7. Not that I think it means anything about who he nominates.

Watched most of it.
He got his hands on it and used it OK most times.
He kinda looks and moves a bit like Beetham....no foolin.
Carlton got flogged.

Keenan's little article's headline was "Rice has rivals steamed up", which is kind of funny.
He goes on to state that he heard that the hair of St Kilda officials stood on end when Carlton " suggested helpfully"
that Bailey could fill the 23rd man position at the Northern Blues. They put the kibosh on the idea.
Ok then.

He played for the Blues' VFL side last weekend, the clubs and AFL agreeing it was better for him to play a couple of games for one side rather than switch teams.

Will be a decent get for a 3rd rounder. He is not a Hooper or Mills but is pretty decent.magnifisaint wrote:not fussed if he plays for the Blues. Just recruit the best players possible

Re: Bailey Rice Playing for Northern Blues
Bailey Rice will be able to nominate as a father-son prospect for both Carlton and St Kilda, under a proposed tweak to the new bidding system being introduced this year.
While Rice will still have to prioritise one club over the other should both wish to draft him, he will be able to list the second club as a back-up.
It means that on draft night – where father-son bidding will happen live as the draft unfolds – the club he has nominated as his first preference will have first call on him.
Should the teenager nominate the Blues, Carlton will be asked if it would like to match any bid for him, using the club's next pick (or picks) in the draft to make up the required "points". Should the Blues choose to pass, the Saints would then be asked if they would like to match the bid.
If neither club was willing to match the bid, the club that bid for Rice would take him.
Rice could also choose to nominate as a father-son player for just one of the two clubs, knowing he could end up anywhere under the bidding system if that club didn't take him.
