Yep. Still no Rodger. (Sigh.)
Conundrum:
We lost that game at two sites: The forward line and selection table.
The former was the usual - debloodylivery!!!!!! AARRRRRGGGHHHHHH!!! And why we're Longer and Hickey on several occasions spotted together in our forward pocket?????
The latter. Too tall and slow up forward. We won't win many games with Longer, Hickey and McCartin all in the one side.
I can only assume that we played them all because we need to get games into Paddy - though I'm keen to get Paddy into the gym. (That is NOT an AFL-toned body Paddy!!! But look out world when it is!)
And we need to get games into Hickey (and Hickey needs to bloody stop dropping marks!!!), but Billy is just so damn resilient. Never seems to get injured. (I'm tipping he comes up from the concussion.)
Next week Roo should be back. Now that'll be an interesting conundrum for the selectors. Surely we can't keep all of the above three in if Roo is back???
Happy Stuff:
We don't have to live in Adelaide to see our team play every second week.
Sinclair in the middle more! His first 20 possession game!
Dempster. In All-Australian form.
Robbo. See Dempster.
Armo re-signing. We don't have to worry about free agency, so we're now free to palm Armo off to any club we choose for a half decent draft pick. This must be a good thing, because I read the intel briefings on here from one of our field operatives (city operative actually) saying that it is good.
Really Happy Stuff:
Ignore that margin and ignore the delivery into the forward line for a minute. We aren't actually NOT that far away. The game plan is there. The player buy in is there.
We only have to improve our execution/our finishing slightly, and then everything will click into place.
Opposition player to bag this week:
With no butter boy Watts this was looking a bit tricky this week, especially after Hoffwhatshisname got a few kicks and the fluky goal.
But then Jay Schultz came to the rescue.
Bloody hell Schultz!!! Do you know nothing??? As pointed out by agent Linton L, if you'd bloody come to us circa 2009, then we'd have won (at least) an extra two flags!!!!
Changes:
IN: Roo, Gilbo, Lonie.
OUT: Longer (concussion?), Webster (inj), Schnieds' or Templeton.
Next in line: Minch, Tom Lee, Saunders.
(Another run at Sandy for Acres' hand, then back in for round 20.)
Thoughts Sainters?
Thoughts, Rodger?
Thoughts, J'boy?

now that’s what i’d be flowering interested in. getting together with those two, and the axeman plucker66, for a few jam sessions.
