Sports preview on Channel 10. "The Saints hit by injury but prepared to play an American recruit"

Re: Jack Billings placed on LTI
"Hit by injury". That's a pretty generous way of describing it seeing as we've barely had an injury all year, and there were only two on the injury list at the start of the week. I can't remember another season - except maybe 2009 - where "hit by injury" would be more misleading.kosifantutti wrote:Sports preview on Channel 10. Should be Holmes, we have Saads position well covered at the moment and the only other rookie left that isn't already on the senior list is Payne.

Would love to see Holmes get a game but Longer is a lock in our best 18 and if Hickey couldn't work with him I don't know how Holmes will go.

Not surprised. No point rushing JB back. Just let him heal properly now.
19yo with 25 senior AFL games already. Ahead of schedule imo.

Crystal ball gazing...though a bit foggy this morning in the ball..I reckon Roo will retire at season's end as will Schneids to take on a coaching role. Holmes will be elevated and used as a tall CHF next season. Billings, Lonie and Sinclair will cover the small forward duties, Hickey and Longer will share ruck duties. We will secure a class midfield recruit and other than that, should be a good 2016 for us.

I reckon Roo is 100 to one to retire. I think there would be rumours if he only had 5 weeks to go. For a start the club would probably want to give him a big send off over a few weeks and I don't think he would have a week off now to rest if he was going to have a life off in 6 weeks. And surely you are taking the piss suggesting Holmes could play CHF in the AFL. He cant even get close to doing it in the VFL. As for Hickey and Longer playing together well that's an opinion that I ant see working but others do. Im not sure the club thinks it works either.

I hope your ball is right for Sunday but sadly I think you are looking at a bowling ball.
