GWS $1.60 Saints $2.35
Why are GWS favourites? Now I understand how it works but doesn't make any sense.
GWS have lost 3 in a row and have quite a few injuries. We rarely go down without a fight and have won 5 games so appear to be a genuine lower mid-tier club now, well out of bottom 4 category.

i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Odds look close to right with me this week. Maybe it should be $1.80 and $2.10.

Our boys confidence will be sky high, should win this but odds close to the mark. I'd probably reverse them.

It's because the game is in Sydney - bookies have forgotten that we have won all of our interstate matches easily so far this year. Mumford, Patful and the other player whose name I have forgotten are massive outs for them. Patful is the guy who normally went to Riewoldt for the Lions.

I think we are still a bottom four team, but we have had a very favourable draw so far - we have only played two top 8 sides in the first 14 rounds. We won't know about where we really are until the end of the season.saintspremiers wrote:Why are GWS favourites? Now I understand how it works but doesn't make any sense.

They beat us in Round 1, home game for them and they are in the running for the finals. They should have beaten Richmond last match, so we face them on the rebound.saintspremiers wrote:Why are GWS favourites?
I'm more than happy for us to remain underdogs though.

I might put all of my winnings from last week on them. How good is this. Beats losing hands down.FQF wrote:Worth a punt.

No, I did last week, and for the second week in a row the saints are at favourable odds. Surely even you can work that out.plugger66 wrote:saynta wrote:I might put all of my winnings from last week on them. How good is this. Beats losing hands down.FQF wrote:Worth a punt.

You really are intent on embarrassing yourself aren't you?

I don't think you get betting. Favourable odds doesn't mean you win until they win. Your first comment suggested you had won already. You can continue to put me down. Its funny. I don't need to waste my time doing that to you. People can just read your posts.

Re: GWS $1.60 Saints $2.35
With Mumford out it gives another opportunity for Longer to get first hand on the footy at Ballups/Bounces - similar to the Essendon game.
Another opportunity for hum to give our mids an 'easier' fun at the footy.
If our mids can at worst 'break even' in the clearance contest it might prove difficult for the undermanned GWS tall defenders to handle Roo, Bruce and Membrey.

Yep I was thinking the same. They are certainly short in the rucking division but unlike Essendon GWS are very strong around the mids. We need to break level to win. That will be a problem. I rate the odds very close to right.

Oh, give it a rest. Yes, I do bet. Regularly on the Saints when I think they have a chance of winning. I have won more than I have lost this year.plugger66 wrote:saynta wrote:No, I did last week, and for the second week in a row the saints are at favourable odds. How good is this! I have had 2 bets on us this year and won them both when we were outsiders.
The win against Melbourne and then had us at 11 to 1 over 39.5 against the bombers.
Easy money when you know your team and no one else rates you!
I might put a few bob on this weekend too at those odds!

When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss
