After watching Tom Boyd tonight , I figure our number 1 draft pick could be a steal, if Boyd's worth $1 Mill a year for seven years then Our Paddy might be worth $10 Mill.
Boyd may turn out worth the money but at present he ain't worth two bob.
Paddy's so good that BT gave him best on ground before he played in this Sundays game, thats what I call a real player, could be worth anything.

The boyd deal won't look so bad if the cap increases, so long as he produces (which I think he will)

After BT made those comments about mccartin I went searching for the stats for about 5 minutes assuming the "Sunday" was a typo haha. Mccartin will definitely be a money saver pick, he won't be a star anytime soon and we could lock him up with a long term contract. Good foundation for the future.

As I said in another thread, I knew the Saints were having sessions on mind therapy and visualization techniques. It was incredible that Paddy could be doing his visualization yesterday about having a blinder of a game today with Sandy, and at the same time could transmit via thought projection to BT in the commentary box last night the 'blinder' of a game he would play today.

Just blew me away, the immense talents our #1 Draft pick has............... or is it that BT is just a garrulous fool who doesn't think before he rattles off at the mouth?

My reasoning for the post is that I'm wondering if Paddy was playing seniors and dishing up what Boyd did ( dropping chest marks, lack of any physical presense Etc. ( exept for the time he dropped the chest mark, we would be howling that Paddy was a dud and a waste of a draft pick.
Personally don't think either of them are ready for AFL seniors, and that Boyd is being gifted games because of the huge outlay, while the Saints are grooming Paddy in the VFL.
My early impression is that we gave done very, very well drafting Paddy, but I guess time will tell
