in Lyon's last years we were apparently the most fined club in the AFL for all the little things- player warming up who weren't in team, being late out after breaks, etc etc wetc

one of the clubs least able to cover these 'small' $$$

Probably fair enough. Even though they are like for like, you can;t go bringing in any player willy nilly. The opposition plans to play the firsts, not the reserves.

While not ideal I don't think there was another option in this case.

Delaney should have been an emergency. Dunno why the emergency list is only 3 players. This is exactly the situation it exists for. One player from each part of the spine surely?

Agree. It seems odd that Fisher has suffered a back problem "from nowhere" and bad enough to rule him out.

My view - tight hammy after Friday light training/run.

Agree with the fine, but agree that we have to put Delaney in, to have a chance of winning.

Expect it will not be enforced as still ample notice given to all parties, and it would not affect the Bulldogs planning that much. Plus Fisher is > Delelaney.

Now if it was Roo for White...that may be different.

Agree!
The emergency list is from a time when all games were on a saturday and the reserves played before the seniors .
Nowdays teams should have to hand in their teamsheets an hour before the game . Then if they make a late change a fine could be warranted .

but of course with all that betting money lining their backpockets the afl would be unlikely to change .

What about a late change: Roo for McCartin? That DID happen.
