Re: Team v Lions
What does that even mean? So you don't want the sides until tomorrow? Good ins. Interesting if they all play. I suppose it will depend on training tomorrow.matrix wrote:Why even put that shite up?

It would be very hard to make 5 changes this week. Even 4 will be hard. And Delaney deserves a go before Lee. Also Brisbane have a small forward line.

He is flying in the VFL whats the point of having a contract if they are not prepared to play him?Bunk_Moreland wrote:Got a two year contract - try againWinnersOnly wrote:What does Tom Lee have to do to get a game? Obviously his papers are stamped, how ahout giving him a go!

Should play instead of? Without being rude I gather you don't see him play at all where as our coaches do. This week is just a bad week for tall backs.

No White or Saad at Sandy this week. Out of the seniors and not picked in the seconds. Not injured either. Anyone got any ideas. Surely not playing anywhere isn't helping their development. From Zebs twitter.

Re: Team v Lions
the teams as selected have dempster Lining up on Luenberger - I think we are 1 decent sized backman down - with fisher out ----- lee for fisher is a straight swap - we were one down with delany out last week - same again this week with fisher - and the 7 on the bench all look likely types - so not sure who would go out if you add lee to the mix - but he plays for mine as we need a CHB in the teamplugger66 wrote:WinnersOnly wrote:What does Tom Lee have to do to get a game? Tell me you aren't going by how the teams line up? Who is Delaney on? Brisbane hardly have a tall and Luenberger cant mark the silly ball anyway. We may have been a tall short last week but we certainly aren't this week.
Re: Team v Lions
the burger isn't going to damage us forward, when he gets subbed we'd be too big. dempster is the middle man.

The same thing they do for every Sunday game. I don't know why it's a problem all of a sudden.matrix wrote:Why even put that shite up?

Re: Team v Lions
Definitely not the right week for tall backs. On paper the Brisbane forward line is:
Leuenberger 203cm
Robinson 185cm
Harwood 184cm
Christensen 177cm
Green 176cm
Zorko 174cm
Three guys under 180! Midget fleet.
I don't know much about Brissie but as far as I can tell these are the talls who've kicked goals for them this year:
McStay 11
Leuenberger 3
Martin 3
Andrews 3
Paparone 1
Gardiner 1
It's not an imposing lineup, but take out the top guy and it's even less threatening. Martin plays in the ruck, Andrews and Paparone are named in the backline and Gardiner on the bench.

Re: Team v Lions
For me I would replace Dempster with Lee. Dempster plays one decent game every 6 and is not the future. I seriously doubt Brisbane will go into the game with such a small forward line and even if they do Dempster is hopeless on small forwards!

I was pretty sure Shenton would't get dropped. Glad to see him named in the back pocket.

Re: Team v Lions
There seems to have been a policy of resting at least 2 players each round or 2. Remember when McCartin and Goddard weren't named and everybody panicked? Remember when Sinclair first thought he would have to go back to the rookie list and he was told that he would be rested from Sandy that week?8856brother wrote:No White or Saad at Sandy this week. Anyway, White and Saad should be OK, just having a latte or a chardy watching their mates running around for Sandy.

Re: Team v Lions
Are we going in with 4 tallish forwards this week in Roo, Bruce, Hickey & Membrey or will one be dropped?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

I would doubt that very much. Either membery or Hickey are out. Longer bloody lucky.
