Changes For Next Week
Time to put on the hypothetical Selection Committee Hat again.
Out: Riewoldt (precautionary); Sinclair (back to Rookie List); Shenton (unlucky); & McKenzie
In: Montagna; Geary; Acres & Lee

Re: Changes For Next Week
Could Lee play as a key back in the AFL or is he to small?
I noticed he's the same height as Delaney however is 7kg lighter according to Saints.com

Re: Changes For Next Week
Does Dunstan still deserve his spot in the midfield? Seems to still be relying on last year's credits.

Do you think that Dunstan has put two and two together and deduced that he may be part of a trade for Sloane? If so he may have lost interest?

Is that anything more than speculation?1965 Saint wrote:Do you think that Dunstan has put two and two together and deduced that he may be part of a trade for Sloane? If so he may have lost interest?

They couldn't possibly trade Dunstan for Sloane could they?FQF wrote:Is that anything more than speculation?1965 Saint wrote:Do you think that Dunstan has put two and two together and deduced that he may be part of a trade for Sloane? If so he may have lost interest?
That would prove to me they have lost their way on building the list.

Cannot see Dunstan being traded. Certainly hope not. Future leader. Type of player we need. Let's keep working the Pelican plan.stjay wrote:They couldn't possibly trade Dunstan for Sloane could they?FQF wrote:Is that anything more than speculation?1965 Saint wrote:Do you think that Dunstan has put two and two together and deduced that he may be part of a trade for Sloane? On changes, hope McKenzie gets another run, and they bring in Acres and Lee for Sinclair and Roo. Gears back for Shaggy if he is ready.

If that ever gets close to coming to fruition it would have to be the dumbest decision we've made since we moved Tom Lynch on.1965 Saint wrote:Do you think that Dunstan has put two and two together and deduced that he may be part of a trade for Sloane? If so he may have lost interest?
I would reanimate the ghost of Barks4eva and go bezerk here, then kidnap Chris Pelchen and lock him alone in the list managers office with a phone and play him the recorded thoughts of Dermott Brereton until we won a premiership.
Just My Opinion

Dunstan is a 2nd year player who had a few interuptions during pre-season. Give the kid a break !!FQF wrote:Does Dunstan still deserve his spot in the midfield? Seems to still be relying on last year's credits.
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Montagna to miss from what I have been told.

Would love to see Minchy get a run, might be a more natural replacement for Lonie if they rest him.SMS wrote:McKenzie??? He was awesome and just finding his feet. Ffs.

Just haven't seen enough of him to know if he is going to make it long term.
Seems to be in and around the best each week at Sandy.

Re: Changes For Next Week
What more does young Blake have to do to get a few games or is it just a positional issue?tony74 wrote:Yeah, Minch was very good today. Gears will be back.

Re: Changes For Next Week
I've said all along that Blake is a huge talent. Got more than a bit of Pendelbury about him. But he's just a kid and will be monstered by big bodied opposition midfielders. I mean he doesn't even shave yet! He'll get his chance Con.
Re: Changes For Next Week
I'd like to see Minch get a turn.
Saad just hasn't made the most of it when in.

In: Geary, Joey, Membrey, Acres & Ray(Curren if Ray doesnt play)
Out: Shents(Dropped only if Geary plays), Sinclair(Rookie list), Rooey(Concussion), Lonie (Concussion/Rest), McKenzie(Dropped)
Would like to see Tommy Lee get a go, for who i'm not sure, has played very consistent in the VFL this season and deserves a shot back in the seniors.

Yep fair enough. No hurry. Nice 5 year contracttony74 wrote:I've said all along that Blake is a huge talent. Got more than a bit of Pendelbury about him. But he's just a kid and will be monstered by big bodied opposition midfielders. I mean he doesn't even shave yet! He'll get his chance Con.
And he is a very young kid. Still only 19.5.

Re: Changes For Next Week
His last quarter today was something else! His speed clearing it out of the middle was absolutely outstanding- loved how clean he was with it too, not just blazing away. If he could add more consistency to his game, he'd be a gun. Hopefully he gets another chance in the Seniors real soon.tony74 wrote:Yeah, Minch was very good today.

I put my head down, stayed out of trouble and worked on the things I was asked to by the leadership group and the coaches. Worked on my mental application and got the skinfolds down. I didn't want to become the next Colin Sylvia.
