What's wrong with Dunstan
So good last year. Been really poor so far this year. Is it time for a spell in the seconds to find some form?

Same as Armitage was when younger - cant run. Needs a rest and time back with Sandi, but please take Schneider with him he is a disgrace for a senior player!

Dunstan does not look up to it. Also time for Sinclair to have a rest and Templeton can go with them.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Templeton might prove to be a flash in the pan, fumbled all day and applies no pressure in the forward half.

At 8 tackles he was the leading St Kilda tackler...and I remember hsi forward pressure setting up few shots on goal for Saints.Kernal75 wrote:and applies no pressure in the forward half.

I think we played Shenton for Geary but then you'd think he'd start on the ground. Templeton for Joey thinking Tempelton's fast but he's not.#gosaintas wrote:Can you believe they played Shenton and templeton ahead of acres...
Talk about going from chocolates to boiled lollies. Me thinks the cupboard's very bare.

I thought Sinclair played a pretty impressive game. Not sure he would be the first dropped.Jacks Back wrote:Also time for Sinclair to have a rest and Templeton can go with them.

8 tackles, 5 in the forward 50. Try watching the game next time.Kernal75 wrote:Templeton might prove to be a flash in the pan, fumbled all day and applies no pressure in the forward half.

It appeared to be Shenton for Dempster, Dempster taking Gearys role?Jacks Back wrote:I think we played Shenton for Geary but then you'd think he'd start on the ground. Oh so now Dunstan's not up to it? Unbelievable. Hope the match committee are more reasonable.

I thought Shenton was good. Hit some bullet passes. Dempster had a shocker

Dempster hasn't played that role for a long time nowOld Mate wrote:I thought Shenton was good. Hit some bullet passes. Dempster had a shocker

Re: What's wrong with Dunstan
No not at all. He is young. His form has dipped a little. Perfectly understable.Austinnn wrote:Oh so now Dunstan's not up to it? Unbelievable. Hope the match committee are more reasonable.
Acres needs a run, and so it might just be an opportunity at present to drop Dunstan back for a week or two where he can be the No 1 mid.
We need to rotate a few of our young players to get games into them.

Some fans are so fickle, honestly no idea what you expect.it's being said as if it's the whole season but we are only in May.

Re: What's wrong with Dunstan
I cannot understand why it was that Acres was the only emergency who never got a run. That may not be correct on 2nd thoughts. but to my mind he should have been first one in on his Sandringham form.
Re: What's wrong with Dunstan
Guessing they tried to match like for like so there was minor structural changes. But I guess that doesn't explain Shenton being the sub.borderbarry wrote:I cannot understand why it was that Acres was the only emergency who never got a run. Re: What's wrong with Dunstan
I was thinking myself that Dunstan could do with a run in the ressies, just isn't playing well enough to command a spot.
Whether he stays in or not should depend on team balance and the form of the reserves but even if he does get dropped once or twice it doesn't mean he's any less of a young gun. We still need to manage his workload and confidence and sometimes a week or two in the magoos is just what a player needs.

Shenton named as sub prior to Joey going out in the warm up- may just have been a rules and regs situationGriggsy wrote:Guessing they tried to match like for like so there was minor structural changes.
