Got to start questioning him!!! Why can't we tackle with intensity in forward half like these blokes.....
Pathetic effort and he is accountable. Not good enough.

How many losses worse than this did Melbourne have last year?
So is Roos a real bad coach?

Hurrarious.
Maybe time to talk about him in a positive light. Game day coaching on display.

3rd biggest comeback in 167 years. Second half was enjoyable alright.

Would love to know what he said at half time!
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

Re: Richardson
I was just thinking how good our coach is.
When you watch footy, or any sport really, I am always impressed when you see a team playing like the coach wants. And how he gets the team playing together.
If you have ever played footy and are getting thrashed at half-time and go out in the third quarter and the opposition kicks the first two goals you know just how hard it is to play to win. Today was a really impressive showing from the coach and the team.
We will continue to move in the right direction if we hold our nerve.
BTW Thanks to Tony74 for your input. Really enjoy it.

Still no idea if AR can coach but I also know those doubting him have nothing to go by either. Still needs time to prove whether he is up to it but IMO we are ahead of schedule and he must play a role in that.

Like the way he backed in Schneids last week. Well publicly anyway.

Re: Richardson
I tend to agree, and although yesterday's win was great, there was a lot of factors involved in the comeback which was due as much to the Dogs losing their way as a young team who were 9 goals up at half time and taking the foot off the pedal, as there was to us finding our way and putting the foot to the floor, and that's how young teams play. The most important thing to take from yesterday's game is that we have picked up classy young talent who can handle pressure, and who will only get better- plus there's a couple more waiting in the wings. One thing that sticks out to me is how good Sinclair looks for a young guy- plays like a confident experienced player even at his young age.plugger66 wrote:Still no idea if AR can coach but I also know those doubting him have nothing to go by either. Re: Richardson
There were a couple of images at the end of the game that I thought were telling. Firstly Richo looking on the boys celebrating, looking as proud as punch.
Secondly Rooey and Joey hugging each other as they were coming off at the end... their faces looked like they were exclaiming... "Wow, we sure did the right thing hanging around... didn't expect more days like this one..."
Big kudos to Richo.

I would also love to know what was said at half time.
The way that we played in the second half, changed quite markedly. Loved to see Richo on the boundary at the end of the game - good to see him show some emotion.
A great effort guys

Re: Richardson
According to Billings the coach stated at half time he wasn't going to say anything about the first half except to go out in the second half and show us how much you love the club ....something along those lines..its on the to replay .

Yes and Armo virtually reiterated what Billings said.felix wrote:According to Billings the coach stated at half time he wasn't going to say anything about the first half except to go out in the second half and show us how much you love the club ....something along those lines..its on the to replay .
Re: Richardson
Props on selection too. I thought they went too tall and slow - certainly looked that way at half time. Hickey forward has been a stroke of genius in those two games. For a big guy he's got amazing ball handling when it hits the ground. I think the secret of Richo is that he patiently works away at building up players confidence and boldness in themselves. He is creating leaders out there already. That's been the secret of Geelong and Hawks success. Get the right calibre of kid in (tough, talented and can show initiative) and then work on helping them develop that inner steel you need under pressure in AFL.

Re: Richardson
Armo said on the footy show that he attributes his form improvement to Richo.
