After the first quarter it was 4.1 to 4.2. Goals: Holmes, White, Cook, Minchington. Possessions: Templeton 9, Weickhardt 8, Wright 8. That's all from the Sandy Twitter (https://twitter.com/sandyzebs).

3.11 in the last quarter? Should have won by goals based on that.

excellent work as always Dave, thank you for posting the links, much appreciated
Gives a nice sense of the action. Not sure what happened to the Saints site posting highlights of the games, that would be nice to see again
any views on the game or where you too busy looking in the viewfinder?

would be tough for the saints today with both games on at very similiar times- they will get vision from Sandringham and do post player reviews- Sandringham site post coaches interviews early in each week

Yeah, don't get a great sense of the game via the viewfinder - but it was frustrating watching so many missed opportunities in the last quarter.spiral3 wrote:excellent work as always Dave, thank you for posting the links, much appreciated

Could have put the game away but just couldn't put it through the big sticks!
Interviews were done post game - I'm sure they will be up early in the week.
Dave.

fair enough, shame to see the Saints and Sandy have such narrow losses today
I'll look forward to the interviews, keep up the great work

Re: VFL rd 3 Sandringham Vs Northern Blues ( radio link)
McCartin seemed to get into the game just at the end, and away from the forward line, when he finally started to take some marks - perhaps the delivery inside 50 wasn't up to scratch earlier on.
White, likewise around the ground, did a few good things.
Maybe White and McCartin are players that would do better at the top level, with better delivery?
(Mitch Brown was the most effective key forward - as far as taking marks in the forward line is concerned).
Saunders was the standout player and BOG. He's a livewire with a serious tank.
Wright was quite prominent too; probably the next best player.
Lee was very good and made some good decisions in defense. You could say he was the general (as in confederate general Lee).
Murdoch looks to have trimmed right down - although he didn't get a lot of the ball, I'm sure he'll benefit from the run.
