As I said before im voting favourite as best player and that IMO is Harvs.

Really tough one to call......I worshipped Barks when I was a kid.... but 21 seasons and two Brownlows (combined with his genuine humility) gives Banger the edge for me.

Probably the two most loyal players StKilda has ever had. Gave everything for the Saints. When I was a boy Barks was just about the only thing we had to get excited about. Unfortunately I don't think I can vote against Harvs.
Opinions are like arseholes, everybody's got one.

Barks never had much luck (except with the ladies) and that continues here. Bumping into Banger at the round of 16 stage is supreme misfortune.

Both club immortals but, if he were still with us, even Barks would acknowledge His Humbleness's virtues.

I agree Harvey has the better credentials as a player.
His loyalty was unchallenged.
But TB epitomised loyalty.
He was more exciting to watch because of his high marking.
And I'm sure he would have led us to a flag had he survived.

Harvey was the better player, but Barks was our shining light in a era that produced nothing but wooden spoons (mostly)
Both loyal as they come, very difficult to choose.
Had to go with Harvs, more accomplished player, but in defence of Barks, was asked to play key position most of his career and gave away centimetres and kilos every week. Who knows how much better and how fewer injuries he would've had if he could've played flank or even midfield positions.

I saw the last 6 years of Barks as an older defender. Very skinny like Flower, but strong and reliable not flashy like those 70's high marking highlights.
Harvs is a better player, but Barks wins as favorite - dying so young immortalizes him and makes him better a bit like Unlucky Phil.

Re: Harvey 61% Barker 39%
I'm with Remboy, these two players could probably stand alone at the top of the list as favourite / best players, for me at least
I saw much more of Harvey's career live and it was a beauty, but Barks probably kept a whole generation of fans hopeful, off his own efforts alone.
Total respect for both and thankful they were Saints
