WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
I recently read that we have one PSD pick and four rookie picks for Wedneday, but I cant see how we have space on our senior list for another player.
For the 4 rookie picks, I favour
1. Tyler Kietel.
2. Jermaine Miller-Lewis
3 Petrenko
4. Schneiderman.

Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
We could delist another player (Lee), which is unfortunately unlikely, so maybe it's just 4 rookies.
Member was slated in as our PSD pick until we were able to pick him up as a delisted FA

Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
The thought that popped into my head this morning was to demote Gilbert to the Rookie List, his continuing foot issues must raise some questions about his short and long term future.
There's no way we would do it, and to be honest, i'm not sure there's anyone available that we need to open up a senior spot for anyway.
He's just one if they were looking for an extra position.

Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
I reckon simpkin could comfortably be moved to the rookie list, he is essentially back-up anyway, if we see s player that we'd like in the PSD we should make that move.
Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
Still hope Simpkin can make it...dragit wrote:I reckon simpkin could comfortably be moved to the rookie list, he is essentially back-up anyway, if we see s player that we'd like in the PSD we should make that move.

Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
Me too, just think he'll be behind about 8 others for a spot in the backline... So rookie would be okay as he could be upgraded when needed.SainterK wrote:Still hope Simpkin can make it...dragit wrote:I reckon simpkin could comfortably be moved to the rookie list, he is essentially back-up anyway, if we see s player that we'd like in the PSD we should make that move.

Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell

Why is it unfortunate we wont delist a Saints player. You really have no respect for kids trying to make it. Its actually pathetic SP.
Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
Lets just rookie list 3 young kids and if they are good enough they can be promoted during the year. If we wanted more than 4 picks in the main draft surely we would have delisted by now.dragit wrote:I reckon simpkin could comfortably be moved to the rookie list, he is essentially back-up anyway, if we see s player that we'd like in the PSD we should make that move.

Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
If we identify 2 players that slipped through that we genuinely rate - like Templeton last year, then we should take one in the PSD and the other with out first rookie pick.plugger66 wrote:Lets just rookie list 3 young kids and if they are good enough they can be promoted during the year. Simpkin is a good back-up player, but at this stage he's not looking like making it AFL level & would be highly doubtful to be playing early in the season.

Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
Rookies
1 - Peter Bampton, Saad
2 - Taylor Grace, Nick Mellington, Ryan Lim, Garret McDonough, Jeremy Taylor, Petrenko
3 - McKernan, Keenan Ramsay, Tyler Keitel, Haiden Schloithe
4 - Schneider
Hope they take 3 mids/runners. About 4 left footers in that group

Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
Im pretty sure La Grice is training with us ahead of the rookie draft with special permission from the AFL. He must be being strongly considered. That's what I think it was could be Taylor Grace, one of the Sandy boys anyway.
Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
A massive NO to Bampton, treacle slow, poor skills - we have enough inside mids.
I like Fordham, he has another gear which is great to watch. Neat skills, has a lot going for him imo. LeGrice is an option if Kietel unavailable. A few options there but I'm not sure anyone considered top 30 like Eli last year.

Taylor Grace is a 19yo mid from Sandy Dragons, not doing pre-season at Seaford as far as I know

Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
I was totally wrong with the main draft and I probably won't fair much better tipping who we'll take in the Rookie draft, but here it is anyway.
Schneider aside, I'd like to see us take Elliott Le Grice, Adam Marcon and Ahmed Saad.

Here's who we'll take:
Pick 1: a kid we've barely heard of
Pick 19: a kid we've never heard of
Pick 37: a recycled guy who instantly divides opinions
Pick 55: Schneids

Re: WHO WILL WE TAKE ON WEDNESDAY?
Grimley is worth looking at. Couldn't break into the Hawks with their strong ruck lineup.
And wasn't Bampton slated for a top 25 finish.
