It's All About The Tractor
I love Petracca.
I know it's odd for a 38yo married father of two to man crush on an 18yo sportsman, but I'm
putting it out there.
He's got swagger!
If we don't snap him up at 1, I'm buying a membership (which I was going to boycott due to the Essendon s***) and sending it straight back to the club in a fit of spurned rage!
There. I said it.

Nothing wrong with that, JM. I'm similarly enamoured with the boy. Nothing suss, though.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

I'm ready to go all James Hird on him like the Bombers fans have done.
If he ever goes to court for drugging up our whole list, I swear I'll be the first one there in my Saints gear out the front cheering for him and his note taking wife.

Re: It's All About The Tractor
For a decade I have regretted we did not select Chris Judd (apologies to Luke Ball).
Arguably we would have snagged a flag in 04,05 or 09,10 with Judd.
I feel I will be regretting Petracca in the same way if we dont pick him as No.1 in the same way.
My signature was a quote from a Hawks supporter and I rend to agree. Dunstan and Petracca could be a Dangerfield/Fyfe combo or a Dangerfield/Wines combo.
Add that to Billings, Acres, Steve, Armo, a couple of Dunstan/Acres type mid slider this year, maybe a FA PSD Treloar, Hoskins-Elliott and a Parish from next years draft, and we have a pretty awesome young midfield going forward.
If we dont pick Petracca I will be gobsmacked. We have to build the midfield, especially with Roo for another two seasons, Spence coming on, Lee, well hopefully Lee up forward.
Also we may get a MacKenzie/Durdin slider in this draft.
We have to select Petracca, it is really a no brainer.

Please don't mention it again.
And yes, they must take Petracca.
Re: It's All About The Tractor
They will take Petracca so there is no issue. No pressure on him it seems.
Re: It's All About The Tractor
I need to ask though, is it Pettractor or Pettrucka...Gershwin wrote:'Tractor' - love it.
Interesting that Pelch said the kid is a talent but isn't in the same league as a few other top picks over the years, maybe he was firmly on the Paddy bandwagon.

Re: It's All About The Tractor
I agree, he is exactly what we need, especially with Lenny just departed, plus when was the last time we had a goal kicking mid fielder.
Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.
Re: It's All About The Tractor
He isn't like Lenny though, but he will strengthen our midfield.3rd generation saint wrote:I agree, he is exactly what we need, especially with Lenny just departed, plus when was the last time we had a goal kicking mid fielder.
I just hope you aren't trying to compare. He is a good mix of in and out with an ability to go forward, exciting times.

Re: It's All About The Tractor
The Tractor seems fairly arrogant.
But if he's as good as it appears he can be as arrogant as he likes.

Arrogance can be an amazing crowd pulling quality if you are as good as wayne carey.
Jordan had that too.
