2015 Membership Arrived Today

My 2015 membership card arrived in the mail today!

Just the membership card with a letter

Letter says choice of cap, scarf or encyclopaedia, to be chosen via email at some point

Finally someone at our club has worked out a database merge that would save truckloads in mail costs!

Apparently its no longer MY football club which is disappointing. I was going to sell it to buy two magnum ice-creams. They didn't even employ a camera man. Just got Billings to take a selfie with the rest photo bombing. Saves on costs I guess.

I was at the beach yesterday and saw heaps of Asians with selfie sticks.

Basically like a golf stick that you can attach your phone to. Great for group selfies!

I just found ours sitting on the hall table. My wife must have thought it was suitably unimportant. All 4 in one envelope. I still only have 4 years written on my membership. I have the primary person as my wife on the paperwork for a family membership but she went into the club and got it and I discontinued my individual one. The say they have no record of my past memberships despite only missing about 5 years since 1995. Apparently I have to get up into the shed or attic and find my old cards and scan them...I have plenty from the 90s but as I grew up I stopped keeping them. Jerks. They treated me like I was a shyster when I didn't want a bronze member car sticker.

My membership says I have been a member for 8 years when I actually joined in 1973. I think the data base stuffed up a few year ago so I will never get to 50 years even though I am only 9 years away from it.
