Nakia also finished 5th in one vertical jump and 6th in the other. Pretty impressive all over.

Re: Nakia Cockatoo
He had stress fractures in his foot so didnt play many but maddog seems to know more about him.
Re: Nakia Cockatoo
I thought Petracca was meant to have the elite of elite agility?
Don't see his name on the list?

Re: Nakia Cockatoo
Hasn't really shown much in any of the tests. I wonder if it will make us more willing to trade pick 1, or if they he was more elite footballer than elite athlete.saintjake wrote:I thought Petracca was meant to have the elite of elite agility?

Re: Nakia Cockatoo
I remember him being on TAC future stars and Shifter said he was in the top 1% for endurance.
Maybe he just can't perform under pressure haha

This Conor McKenna sounds awesome also.
I think Petracca and Pickett also did well in the beep test. This Tom Lamb kid from WA looks good too.

Re: Nakia Cockatoo
As Con mentioned he has missed almost all this year because of foot problems but he came back to play a few games at the end of the season.Con Gorozidis wrote:He had stress fractures in his foot so didnt play many but maddog seems to know more about him.
I don't want to oversell this guy but he is as close to Patrick Dangerfield as I have seen, he is explosive off the mark and is built like a truck for an 18yo. His kicking is elite, and he has a great leap. What I really like about him is he is one of those rare players that looks quick both in attack and in Defence.
He has played everywhere from half forward to midfield and even key defensive roles
If we could somehow pick him up with our second pick I would be ecstatic.

So by the sounds of it he is a midfielder, am I correct? Also what are his physical stats eg height weight?

Could supply some of the quality outside run and speed the saints and saintsationalists have been crying out for by the sounds if it then
Re: Nakia Cockatoo
So he has passed Brayshaw. Just out of interest have you seen any of them play much. You do go early Con and are seduced by certain things for about 5 minutes and then move on. I don't know anything about them but people who do have Brayshaw way ahead of him so I will go with them. Couldn't give a stuff about the weight of the player but the height is important these days.Con Gorozidis wrote:Yep midfielder. 185 and 85. Hes a large unit. God you are a bore. Does an alarm go off when I post? you seem to rush to reply.plugger66 wrote:So he has passed Brayshaw. Just out of interest have you seen any of them play much. And yes - why not. The world doesnt revolve around TAC cup. Nakia looks more explosive and likely to impact at AFL level to me. Hes quicker. tougher and better skilled. Ignore guys from 'non-footy' states at your peril. Carey, Hird, Voss, Buckley, McLeod... the list is long and strong. Brayshaw looks a bit pedestrian to me. Like a Jack Trengove type (who was pick 1). Recuiters are notoriously conservative. Melbourne will probably go for Brawshaw. Hes their 'type.'
I only mentioned his height and weight because somewhat asked so i gave them the courtesy of a reply - a word you dont seem to comprehend.
But go on rant and rave and try and win a point. Its so funny how everyone offeres their opinion as an opinion - but you seem to offers yours as 'fact' where every comment is 'right or wrong.'
But carry on your role as self appointed opinion police. Making sure everyone is within the mainstream boundaries you seem so keen to maintain.

Re: Nakia Cockatoo
Don't start this again. He is already a scape goat before he's made the AFL. He's possibly the most hated potential draftee ever. Apparently he makes Hitler look like a good bloke.sax wrote:Tom Lamb played for Dandenong Stingrays & Vic Country.Con Gorozidis wrote:This Conor McKenna sounds awesome also.

Who said it revolves around the TAC cup? Did I mantion that Heeney wasn't up to it? No. I don't care about winning a point with you. Its far to easy. It would be like playing tennis Oscar Pistouris without his legs. You make a statement that they are the best 3 and I doubt you have seem much of them at all. Lets face it you would never have mentioned Cockatoo without the testing. You are so easily influenced Con. And you change your mind like the wind. Remember when we argued that Jack Steven was slow? That was funny. Or Billings isn't as good as players from the country. Maybe you were right. Lweis Taylor was from the country however the player I think who will be the best from that draft, the Bont, is a city guy. Both TAC cup players though. And my alarm doesn't go off when you post but my laugh does go off. Look forward to more gold in the coming few days. If you post stuff that I think is crap I will comment just as you do to me. I just bother with the poor me stuff like you do. Grow some Con and lets keep having vigorous discussions without the personal stuff. Its all fun.
