Pelchen on Trade radio - Wed am
http://www.afl.com.au/afl/news/trade/trade-radio
have spoken to Jaschke and o'roarke but no definite
looking for player who fits player graphic
asked about Siposs-- already back training, after yes admittedly poor season- no reason to put name up.
not negatioting through table
no formal deal has been put forward- Ie pick3 and 2 players-- this HAS not been put formally
expectations around Pick 1 very high
Saad- yes looking at him, under consideration, 1 that's he's rady and 2 who else is available at that point, rookie or pre season
very good at not answering- if this was the trade..... would you..... No way is he answering that- not negotiating via the media
Young players re-signing- understand , not just one year , but 5 years, Ladder not good- But we are heading in the right direction, young palyers credit to them, managers and families-
some of those players who have resigned did have other options but strength to stay
Billings- Watch this space....
Joey and Nick ( particularly Joey) all departed players more than welcome back, Young guys hoping to replicate that.
Joey- critical role in the immediate future, and Nick
Browny asked about that- leading when finals not an option, Nick amazing year.
Leadership and preparation a credit and not to be deminished, testiment to him
( ps has been in contact with pelch today)
Hunt -?
More players wil be spoken to.
Hard to see Ben holding the cup? Not hard to see Most pleased for him, Both parties understood where the other was at- would love to have had it ahppen at saints butd ecisions best for the club.
1 No 1 available
2 Saad possible
3 Billings in next couple of days
Pelch- correct on above three
4 compensation pick? free agency- needs time to work whilst it seems top clubs get bonuses- when clubs change positions then the cycle should turn.

Re: Pelchen on Trade radio now
pick one certainly still on market, they are open minded with that selection
wait for teams to come to them with options, nothing on table thats been put forward as of yet
perfectly honest we need all (forward mid and defender)
the strategy goes till 2016 and takes in all the draft periods till then
wont chase big players, will entertain offers from other clubs for pick one
certainly interested in kj and orouke
dont want to specify player by player when asked if siposs is on trade tbale
he is back training on his own already, doing his own thing, no reason for him to put his name out there
orouke and jacksh deal is the type of deal they are looking at
nothing has been put forward to them, nothign on the table, but its the TYPE of deal they would like
nothing has been put to the table by other clubs to the saints yet
their standards are very high and their expectations are very high
saad has been contacted along with his management
open minded on it till the draft day comes around
if the deal for parker and pick one was on the table of course it would be looked at but no point as his name hasnt been raised at the club or put forward to the club
heading very much in right direction
still going to be tough
ladder perspective doesnt look to flash, but they are heading in the right direction, look at the signing, club is very positive, strong future
billings name not out there yet but "watch this space"
nick and joey are outstanding leaders, lenny hayes legend around the club
everyone is welcome back to the club, goddard dal santo etc
joey and nick both still on board, both critical, young guys look up to them quite a bit and good on them for staying with the club when their window is obviously closed
never seen nick lead better than the last 3 years
the way he prepares is unreal
limited training time on the track, does his own stuff alot
this season he has been as good as ever
discussed hunt internely
jacksh and rouke they have seriously discussed, but still, nothing is set in stone
absolutely rapt for Ben mcevoy
wasnt pushed out of the club
only went if he thought the move was a benefit to him and he said he thought it could be
not one person has said anything bad about him getting a flag, only positive
quick recap
#1 is open
saad possiblilty
billings will sign
pelch is happy the way FA works (has to say that as he said he was on the original committe when it was brought about)
it will work itself out, give it around 4 to 5 years, bigger clubs will drop down and lower clubs WILL rise, it will all work out how its supposed to, its all a cycle

Re: Pelchen on Trade radio now
Very impressed with his responses.
Obviously not giving too much away at this stage.
I get the feeling it's gonna take something pretty special to pry Pick 1 out of our hands....
Spoke about Taylor Hunt, Ahmed Saad, Billings ("watch this space" re: Future fest), Jakshe, O'Rourke, Dangerfield.....

pelch didnt give too much away and didnt say nothing most on this site havent already discussed
prob saad being the only thing that hasnt seemed to have been hugely discussed on here
as long as he can cope with the 'cheat' label, then good on him for staying fit and wanting to seriously have another crack at afl, then again he is young in age

Re: Pelchen on Trade radio now
As someone who has reasonable shorthand and typing - I tell people I'm a secretary of sorts when I don't want to talk about work - it's not always a guarantee that everything gets taken down. And then you have to be able to read it back, which in my case is near on impossible.matrix wrote:if i didnt have a job bratty i'd be your secretary for suresaintbrat wrote:can you be my secretary Matrix

I'm not keen on Saad at all - his forward defensive efforts were lacking and given that he needed to drink energy drinks before a game to get up and going his output is likely to be even be less than beforeplugger66 wrote:sunsaint wrote:If Saad comes back in - Schneider must be moved on

A huge NO from me even as a rookie - would rather move forward - he wasn't great then and I doubt he will improve given he has been out of the game for 18 months

We aren't keeping both. One isn't on the list. As silly as it sounds id rather Schneider than Saad. I think it will be the complete opposite though.sunsaint wrote:he can kick a goal tho!Devilhead wrote: I'm not keen on Saad at all - his forward defensive efforts were lacking and given that he needed to drink energy drinks before a game to get up and going his output is likely to be even be less than before

Re: Pelchen on Trade radio - Wed am
I'm keen to go on record as a supporter of Pelchan. He's doing everything I could possibly hope for. Hindsight is a cheap comodity in football. It's way too easy to criticise the list manager for taking a dud when a superstar is available later in the draft. Pelchan has a good strategy and he's making the best decisions at the time. He has my full support.
