rookie elevations
Was just listening to ' https://soundcloud.com/rsn-racing/alan- ... -coach-afl ' and richo said that at least 3 of the rookies will be elevated now with Shenton elevated this either means Mav and Eli upgraded and Minch gone or Mav and Minch elevted and Eli retained on the rookie... interesting comment to make with all the contracts on the line at the moment.

Re: rookie elevations
I thought Mav Weller would be first elevated after his season. None get elevated until taken in the draft.
Re: rookie elevations
That's what I thought. The OP must be thinking that the mid-season elevation counts permanently, was that shenton this year?

Re: rookie elevations
Shenton has signed a 2 year deal and has already spent the maximum 3 years on the rookie list. Not official until draft day but they don't have any other options.

Are you suggesting that this forum has a line that shouldn't be crossed?8856brother wrote:Pretty personal question.Rosco wrote:Is Shenton elevated?

Re: rookie elevations
interesting the article said Schniderman and the club had not finalized if he's playing on next year.
Also wasn't there a thread saying Minch was staying?

Re: rookie elevations
There are four rookies that need elevating (in my opinion).
Shenton, Minchington, Templeton, Weller
But we're going to have to sack a few more senior players if we want four draft picks and a PSD No1 selection.
Do we keep Templeton and/or Weller on as rookies (for a while and wait for the LTIs )?

Re: rookie elevations
Without knowing the state of our list, isn't there an option to have extra players on the primary list and less rookies? If that is the case, can I suggest we might not need to keep delisting to find an extra spot for the 4th elevated rookie - we may just have one less rookie spot to fill.
Figured I'd mention it as I haven't seen it be discussed as an option yet.

Re: rookie elevations
Don't think so. You used to be able to have a fixed number of players outside the primary list which could include veterans or rookies, it was up to each club to decide how many of each it wanted. I'm not sure if that's how it still works.St Ick wrote:Without knowing the state of our list, isn't there an option to have extra players on the primary list and less rookies? Re: rookie elevations
Rather than keep Schneider and his stinky interview program I would add Minchington to the senior list and give him a year to show what he can do.
Value from Schneider simply wasn't enough this year to justify another year's pay.
My reckonings thus far:
Gone; TDL, Jones, Gwilt, Hayes, Maister, Milera, Dunell, Schneider
Remaining Rookies; Holmes, Pierce, Templeton
National Draft; pick one, pick two, pick three, Shenton, Weller, Minchington
Rookie Draft; pick one, pick two
With some trades into the mix.
