Maybe his heart wasn't in it down at the Blues and god only knows we need some more heart and soul players down at the club. The bottom line is though he needs to bulk up a bit to have an impact, some kids really struggle to put on weight and bulk until they are a little bit older.

If he has elite foot skills and endurance, could be a smokey?
Could be a great story - not having seen him played, I can't really comment - but like the idea of getting him to the saints
Yeah let's just draft him because it will be a good story

Father-son...

Massively different from nephew with same name as the nickname of the uncle.

If you want create a culture, you need to start somewhere.

When was the last father son at St Kilda? Do we need to go back to pre-WWII

Fair call. Couple of games between the two of them.

I was talking about any Father-sons that have been successful at St Kilda.

My Uncle played for St Kilda too, does that mean I am pulling on the guernsey next year.

Steve Lawrence actually played close to 120 games in total and nearly 40 at Saints.
Alcohol and other off-field issues prevented him going much further.

As for Paul Temay went to school (couple of years older than him) together but didn't remember him as anything outstanding and was quite surprised when he played 5 or 6 years with Saints.

Funny you should bring up Chad Davis. That's another story for another day.

Won't bring up the Temays again, let's let fate take its course.

That guy had balls of steel.

Siera was our best father-son, wasn't he? Not a superstar though.

Ashley McIntosh the one that got away.

He just missed out on being the ruckman in our premiership year. A champion sportsman and the reason I am a saints supporter. I'll let you do the detective work.

Temay is well worth a look. The Saints connection doesn't hurt.

I'd also be very keen on Shaun McKernan - we are desperately in need of tall forwards and who knows how motivated he'll be to perform in 2015 and beyond. Worth a rookie spot. Clearly has talent but needs to be in the right environment to extract it.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Yeah I have to agree. Don't mind the idea of taking a punt with 1 recycled player on our rookie list.

I'm an idiot with the history stuff. I know the 1980s onwards and that's it. I can tell you all about Sziller and Vidovic but am clueless in the old stuff. I know the names from my grand father and dad but apart from watching a replay of the GF that's it.

Could he become a KPP backman?

ABSOLUTELY NOT, Shaun McKernan. Struggles at SANFL level.

I don't think so. Strikes me as a player with natural attacking ability but has no confidence in his game at the moment.

I think that's the sort of thing that can be rectified in the right environment.

I'm not saying he'd be a star or anything if he came to us, but it's possible that escaping the negativity of Adelaide - where they have surrounded him with frustration and a feeling he's not lived up to their inital expectation - left him unable to perform.
