Watching him yesterday really shows how much we missed this guy through out the year..
Still down on fitness and kept pushing to every contest , I'm sure he will get back to A grade next year with uninterrupted pre season.
Will help with the loss of Lenny somewhat.
Really stood out how we are lacking quality mids and why Petracca is a must.

starting to think that myself.....i would be going with spencer and stanley as the two forwards.....so yes.....draft midfielders......bit like when we had a young plugger....we got rid of the guy who thought it funny to drop lighted cigarettes in peoples pockets....didn't need him anymore....fool that he was....

I tend to agree with this. We have Stanley and White as real potential, we have Lee (so far a disappointment but we all live in hope) and we still have Roo for at least one more season.
Stanley and especially White and Lee with full preseasons and with Roo up there we have our "potential" covered.
My feeling with Pelchan and what Richo said last night that they will look at FA in 2016 draft. If this is the case load up on mids in this draft and even try and trade for a McCarthy from GWS or go for FA once Roo retires.
Our midfield with Steven, Armo, Billing, Dunstan, Acres, Petracca, with Eli, Weller, Ross, and Curran and two more 1st rounder mids will have us looking stacked with "potential" in the mids.
Forwards in 2015 and 2016 would be the go. IMHO

J. Steven & b J.Billings = Only 2 stars?
Breraton on SEN declaring lots of love for the 'ripping' young fellas @ St.Kilda but declaring only 2 will be stars.
Steven & Billings are Derm's 2.
Hope and suspect he isn't spot on but it does focus the mind somewhat reg: Petracca and question as to whether McCartin or Wright are potential Stars up fwd.
Can we land another 'Star' and have 3 to go fwd with?

He seemed to be sympathetic with the 'ripping' accolade but it did make me think how critical the club's
decision-making will be in Nov.
12 (if accurate) for GWS and 2 for St.K is diabalo in the extreme.

Team doesn't need to be full of stars though. How many of Hawthorn and Sydney would you class as 'stars'? What matters is how they all work together.

Luke Dunstan I think will be a star
I wouldnt mind betting Blake Acres will be something special in another couple of years
And of course big Spencer .. if he finally does a full pre-season . .well who knows.
