Touchy Elizabeth. Strange that you picked my post and not the person who started the topic. I know you are related but if comments about a person upset you then I suggest you should give this place a miss. The funny thing is I didnt knock the guy. Just called it as I saw it. Nothing wrong with being the second best mid in our side that has lenny, Jack, Joey and Dunstan. Seems like a compliment to me. Strange reaction by you.
Armo has been really good this year. I've been very happy with him (and been critical of him in the past) yeah his leg speed isn't terrific, but he's tough as old boots. Not sure we can have too many Armo's in the one team though. One thing that was apparent yesterday was that we were SLAUGHTERED on the rebound through the midfield. They were streaming up the ground- especially in that first quarter.
I think the more relvenent discussion should be about Rhyce Stanley. 5 possessions for the game. No goals. THIS is where we are getting killed. Got it in there enough, but unfortunately it's Roo or bust.

+1
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will

He'd be very, very good in a team with a few quick outside mids getting around.
Outside mids struggle without guys like Armitage and Luke Ball (just for example) and inside mids find it hard when they don't have quality outside runners to use.
Anyone else see some of the don't argues he was giving out yesterday, did two massive ones in one play at one stage.
Very, very strong young man. Surely is our next captain and a vital cog for us going forward. Hits it hard, wins clearances and backs himself in to run with the ball as well.
Misses some targets, but Sam Mitchell does too, and he is slow and mainly an in and under type.
People on here just love to make big calls haha
Armo is an integral part of our current midfield let alone a midfield without Lenny. His strength around the ball is brilliant and opposition mids look over their shoulder when he's around.
I love the way Armo goes about his business! And another nice feature about Armo is the manner in which he interacts with the fans. He was happy to spend time chatting to the punters at Saturdays open training, and comes across to me as a thoroughly decent young man who will be a good leader in years to come.

Trade Armitage, in return for pick 2.
We then get pick 1 & pick 2 in draft. We pick up Petracca # 1(best player in draft / gun goal kicking midfielder) and McCartin (best tall forward)
I will get shot down, but don't be surprised if the Pelican goes for this!!!
When you find the guy that gives you DP 2 for Armo, just let me know so I can sell him some shares in a slightly used Harbour Bridge!
Good honest b grader gets you about pick 30 on a good day.

You would get no more than a pick in the 15-25 range for Armo.
If we could get pick 2 you would it in a second but it simply is not going to happen.
He is a good honest B-grade midfielder and every side in the comp needs players like him.
He would get into every team for his toughness at the ball and the player.

I saw them and just thought how nice he and Gilbo moved through traffic with side stepping and grunt. Reminded me of a younger Lenny. Those RL land boys do move well.

I don't think he's limited to B grade, he has had some outstanding games where he was BOG in decent sides and he was hardly given many games before Watters came. He looked like he was setting up for a great season then ripped his knee apart, got an infection and missed a huge chunk of the year.
