And even older than ours. Cooney, Boyd, Griffen, Minson are no spring chickens.

We are making them look good.
They are 13th on the ladder.
Cooney and Griffin are only 28.
Mcrae Dalhaus Libba Picken and Wood all going ok. All young guys with 3 or 4 pre-seaons/50 games under their belt.

They went well, made to look better because ours is a little slow

I certainly was not impressed with where the Dogs are at.ShanghaiSaint wrote:clear differnce today they really showed how bad ours is... the massive thing i noticed was their sharp fast kicking into their attacking 50.One Eyed Saint wrote:They are freakin unbelievable..
They look like a bunch of kids coupled with some mature players scattered around the ground. Sound familiar?
Sheesh Jake Stringer looks bloody fantastic though!

Libba and co are very strong... that was the only part of there game that won the game. they have a strong developing midfield... something we need to work on.

Your kidding aren't you,a little slow....imo we are very slow
Re: How good is doggies midfield!!
Their pace is a bit better than ours...their 'juniors' slightly more experienced.....that's what won them the game...
I can see us catching up with (and overtaking) them in the near future.

Our midfield was terrible- no defensive game whatsoever, and an area where AR needs to get his act together, in fact the whole defensive structure of the team is flakey at the best. It can't all be blamed on inexperience.

Match day list building genius. Put no defensive pressure on spread and carry, yet maintain an image we are trying.

Mc Crae will be a super star in a few years as will Stringer. Both those guys are outstanding then you get Little Libba who can clear the ball as good as anyone in the comp. Wallace, Hrovat and Clay Smith are all good players and then a few other good kids behind them. They are looking seriously like the Bulldogs from the last tilt though with Stringer a slightly undersized but brilliant forward like Brad Johnson and a killer midfield.

Memo: Chris Pelchen... Rebuild through the draft, not by swapping 1st round picks for players from GWS. Have a look at the way the Bulldogs have done it, holding onto picks: Smith, Stringer, McRae, Bomtempelli...

Re: How good is doggies midfield!!
Bontempelli getting thru to them looks like another drafting master stroke also...I hadnt seen him before the draft but you would think his size, speed and attributes would be exactly the style of midfield player we need.
Billings should be an ok player but I dont think he will have the game winning attributes that Bonte has shown. If you are thinking that I am a bit harsh on Billings you are probably right - but I dont rate him nearly as highly as other supporters...Hope he proves me wrong?
