Stinger,

I'm curious.

Are you really a lawyer?

It sounds like many of your arguments are base on emotion and not fact.

you all believe it of some of the players...ie bj.....they were scared by the three grand final games...why woyuldn't lyin be damaged goods as a result also.....

You said he tried to lose or wasnt trying to win. No one has suggested BJ was trying to lose or wasnt trying to win.

either that or we really need to reinvestigate that grassy knoll and find the lyon (sorry lyin) link ;) :) ;)
or a third possibility - he was not perfect and made mistakes
i dont think anyone is saying he is perfect .. Ross had his flaws for sure and those flaws are still with him in the way he coaches Freo as well as how he coached us ... but his good quallities out way his flaws in my opinion ... honestly i think the way ross left was poor but in the long term it may be like the McEvoy trade a win -win situation with Freo getting a flag they desperatly want and us getting the compleate total list overhaul we desperatly needed that may not have happened with Lyon ...

end of the day we can debate all day if Lyon is a good coach or bad coach that is open to personal veiws on the game and how it is played .. but the book is slammed shut of Stingers moronic claims he coached to lose in 2011 (note im calling the cliams moronic not the person so dont get all worked up stinger)

so you are still maintianing that you posted on here at that time Ross coached to lose ... thats your story and you are sticking with it ? not to mention your claim you had other posters agreeing with you ....
thats what you are going to stick with ? ill give you this opportunity to admit you were wrong and we can all just forget about it .... or are you going to continue with this

and secondly ... i said your opinion on Lyon is childish i didnt call you childish ... although seeing the way you are carrying on about me suposedly getting personal maybe that shoe really does fit .. again lets remember you called me a clown (not that im offended by that mind you cause i have tend to have a thicker skin to name calling ) all i said was your thinking is childish ...
yes...or didn't coach to win...

all your posting directed to me on this subject have intended to demean me.....what other reason did you have for posting those silly images ????

i'm not responding to you on this subject anymore...i have my views on lyin...a disgraceful excuse for a human being...you have yours...you are entitled to your views...as i am mine
if you post something absurd im going to call you out on it ... i would expect the same from anyone else if i posted something of the like .... if you are going to make a big call like you always thought Lyon coached to lose then you better back it up with some proof or at least some shred of proof that you indeed said what you claim .. ... im not making you look stupid you are doing that yourself my photo is a form of humour and yeah it was at your expence for your absurd claim basically saying theres more chance of lyon shooting a live dinosaur for Speilberg then there is he coached to lose...

as for your last comment i spose this means ill be put on your ignore list ... like plugger66 ... you can have your views on Lyon but when you make a claim as absurd as this back it up or expect to be shot down

So we have Lyin vs. Bluescum. Evil vs. Evil.

I think I want Bluescum to win as they're not likely to make the finals regardless

Also want Carlton to win, which is strange for me....I can't stand them. But they're out of finals contention, the more wins they get the lower their draft pick and I don't want Freo to get anywhere near winning it.

Kudos tonight to Freo. Three huge balloons for the 3 MH17 kids killed that were Freo members.

And that all white Memorial banner by Freo was perhaps the strongest and best banner statement wise I've ever seen. No sponsors non commercial 100% real. Well done.

Kudos also to Sandilands for his spudiferous ruckwork - I don't know how he managed this, but Freo won the hitouts 75 to 23 (that's a massive 52 more hitouts!) - yet the Blues had 1 more clearance (39 to 38).

Sandilands was nearly the difference. Dont care about what either stat says. The one big difference was Fyffe though. He is nearly a freak.

Fyfe and Barlow were the big difference (we should try to sign Fyfe up - maybe both?).
Sandilands did okay around the ground.

Ditto on Zac Dawson. That fifty he gave away at a critical stage of the game was just so
reminiscent of the clangers he used to make with the Saints, and reminded me why I wasn't sorry
to see him go.

Geez, I was sorry to see him go.

I was sorry to see RL go as well.

While they were at the Saints I had some odf the best experiences I have ever had while being a Saints supporter.

I saw 19 straight win, in 2009, two fantastic finals wins, a wonderful GF week and then a heartbereaking narroe GF loss (that Zac almost won for us with the great spoil)

I saw us lose Roo for almost all of 2010, and still get top four, narrowly beat Geelong, flog the Dogs and then an even more heartbreaking GF draw - but I did get to see Lenny and bj on that day.

I would trade every horrible bottom dwelling year for those two years again in a heartbeat.

I would have Zac back in a heartbeat if i was guaranteed another two years like that, and the chances at a flag.

Well said. The poster previous to you looks at the 50 but doesnt look at how many goals Henderson kicked. It was none after coming off 6 the week before against Scott Thompson.

Personally I think Dawson was AND is easily replaceable. He played and plays an insignificant bit part. Lyon loves role players and Zac is definitely overpaid for his minor role. Freo's team pressure and their class midfield wins them games - not the contribution of Dawson.

I didn't realise our strength at the time that you so fondly remember was directly related to having Zac Dawson in the team. To get the sort of success we had in those 2 years took years of list building and RL failed after being gifted a team of matchwinners.

Yes you've gotta have a couple of good defenders, but let's not delude ourselves as to the value of Dawson. To put another perspective on the contribution Zac makes to Freo - How would Zac Dawson go at St Kilda right now? Maybe he'd plays his role well but we'd still be last on the ladder.

Think Luke Delaney....sound familiar...Delaney is playing his role and doing ok but you need matchwinners and ballwinners to win games of footy. If we are tinny enough to find someone as good as Nat Fyfe or if we could throw in a Mundy or a Barlow sized mid into our mix in the next couple of years (fingers crossed on Acres) perhaps that's when we start to climb back into the top 8.
