Nope it's not all I can see. I can see genuine enthusiasm and care about the forum as well.

But there's an ongoing flavour of belittling BFUSA and others on the forum. There's third party belittling of posters in discussion with other posters : i.e ganging up, bullying. There's judgements and polarisation laced in with your posting style whilst you at the same time espouse freedom and equality for everyone on the forum.

OK. Why not just make a case for what you want? Why bother chucking in stuff about "forum queens" that's a bit obtuse and at the same time clearly derogatory to someone? What's the point of it? It's divisive and unnecessary and does absolutely zero to take you in the direction of getting what you want.

And : "it could, should be so much easier.....etc"....... It serves no purpose. It's just bitching and moaning. "Oh woe is me. The forum aint how I like it".

If you're wondering why your earlier request for time and date wasn't heard / addressed / listened to, maybe consider that it might also have been laced with the same kind of complaining, belittling language.

BFUSA currently fills that role. Notions of democracy, elections, self moderation - nice ideas but it's not going to happen. Apart from the site ownership issue, how on earth would elections work in an online forum where everyone is anonymous and lives all over the place?
And do you really believe that any kind of 'democratically' elected body wouldn't pretty quickly descend into cliques, infighting and power struggles? Would take a couple of weeks at most.

You've got a good line in "it's all based in fear and I want to subvert the dominant paradigm and create a new world free of "all this shyte", but you're creating it as much as anyone else. The forum is owned by one person. Aint no way around it. He appoints an administrator as he sees fit. That administrator has, as I see it, done a good job. Not perfect I agree. Don't like the changes to the GF myself. I think that sometimes the use of warnings is a bit heavy handed. But it's not a big deal. And now there are multiple mods and we will all bring our own individual interpretations. It's inevitable that personal differences will play out in whatever role we're fulfilling.

And......this is all voluntary. No-one's getting paid here. No-one has a commercial motivation. It's for pleasure and wanting to see the forum thrive. And it seems to me that apart from 'you guys', most others are somewhere between satisfied and happy with it. Matrix has made some good suggestions recently about site structure. Great. Let's explore that. Let's make it better.

I had a long discussion in this forum with another poster about forum management and he aired his views and put his grievances out clearly and plainly. Also great. Now he's got the grace to desist from sniping. He might not agree with what's happening but he doesn't play the man.
That's basically what I'm asking for. Just leave out the personal sniping. Push for change, good. Fair enough. But the sniping and derogatory slurs - what does it add to the debate? Nuthin useful or helpful.

I must disagree with you regarding your claim that we can't have a democracy. It is very possible as has been previously outlined. Arguments of who the rightful owner is, and why we can't have a form of effective independance and democracy have blurred and confused us and deflected us from meaningful discussion.

One example of confusion, BFUSA claims we have a form of democracy in place because he claims there is a "majority rules" type decision making process in place. This was claimed to counter the previous proposal for a technically viable voting system. Confusion lies in the objectivity and transparency of the "majority rules" system currently employed by BFUSA.

How does the "majority rule" system work? Where is there objective evidence of the system having worked in the past?

Im not whinging, Im stating a fact. Dont see the point at all. I would agree if you have to pay to use the forum but you dont. I work on a pretty simple theory. If i dont like something that I have no control over then I dont watch or use it anymore. If I dont like something I can control then I try and improve it. We have no control on here and we shouldnt.
