Farewell and good luck Meister
Has just busted his shoulder/arm it appears, so that's probably AFL career over for the Meister man.
Best of luck for the future and thanks for your few seasons with us.

And just when he was actually taking marks, busting packs and kicking goals.saintspremiers wrote:Has just busted his shoulder/arm it appears, so that's probably AFL career over for the Meister man.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Do you think he'll get another year though? I don't. The last bit of that quarter he dropped a year.Jacks Back wrote:And just when he was actually taking marks, busting packs and kicking goals.saintspremiers wrote:Has just busted his shoulder/arm it appears, so that's probably AFL career over for the Meister man.

Hope that Beau makes a full and speedy recovery from this injury
St Kilda forever ( God help me)
Re: Farewell and good luck Meister
He was only drafted to St Kilda because of Watters. All the same I hope he recovers soon.
Re: Farewell and good luck Meister
That's a bummer, never can fault his effort.
Good luck on the recovery Maister.

Since coming to the club, his attitude, commitment and maturity have been all positives for a list full of youngsters. He absolutely fits into the "no dickheads" philosophy and I'm sad to see he may not be able to play out the year with his teammates. I wouldn't think he will get another contract, but he has been a good role model for work ethic, no nonsense approach to the game. All the best to a speedy recovery Beau!

I've spoken to Beau at training and on several other occasions, I found him to be a most humble and friendly guy. Even after all his trials and tribulations form-wise the b bloke gave the club 100% effort, Big respect Beau!

I met him in Thailand when he was on his end of season break last year (while all of the Watters stuff was going on). He had every right to say "nick off, I'm on holiday" but, as the Jiggster said, he was very open and happy to have a chat. He was still doing his duty to the club even when he didn't have to. However, I got the impression that he was being nice because that was in his nature.
If this is the end of his Saints career, I am very sorry because I think he has an ability that he hasn't shown us. He is a confidence player who hasn't yet found his confidence; so hasn't performed at his best.
Good luck Beau

Well said Stian! Why some folk continually bag someone like Beau, is beyond me.

Seemed well liked by the playing group. When he's on he can clunk a mark and smash a pack. You never know, he still may be around next year. There's plenty who could go, but you can't get rid of too many at once.

He is a GOP Dave. No denying that. We have far too many in our side. The bagging is borne out of frustration IMO.thejiggingsaint wrote:Well said Stian! Why some folk continually bag someone like Beau, is beyond me.

Not bagging the person, bagging the footballer! He's just not up to AFL level and never will be!thejiggingsaint wrote:Well said Stian! Why some folk continually bag someone like Beau, is beyond me.

Good luck, thanks for the effort.

Re: Farewell and good luck Meister
I think Beau was always an interim/backup pick.
The club hoped Stanley and Lee would come through as our new key forwards.
Not convinced about either of them.
- Stanley will certainly stay as he does show glimpses, and he can give ruck backup.
So that leaves a choice between Lee and Beau.
- Beau can take a pack mark and gives a good honest contest
- Lee on the other hand seems like a completely wasted pick
The wild-card is if we can lure a "Cameron" or similar from GWS.
