Umpire 25 carves us up every time. especially against Richmond.

If Roo got some of these frees Richmond are getting he would have1000 goals by now. It's quite embarrassing. You can tell Voss thinks the same.

Re: Saints v Tigers Match thread
the truth - the tigers have been the most disappointing team in 2014dragit wrote:I think what is hard to take is getting beaten by a rubbish side…
We might be going poorly right now, but we will once again smash this pathetic side in a couple of years and they will still be in the 9 - 10 region.
so the saints "had" a chance - but we needed to hit them hard in the first and make them question themselves - instead their onballers grew in confidence
ok yes AR did catch on in the second and move jones onto cotchin - but the damage was already done

Re: Saints v Tigers Match thread
Those who wrote off Savage very early, and there was plenty of you, may need to reasses. Btw Richmond struggle. A bit more class and some umpiring is the only reason they are 4 in front.

Re: Saints v Tigers Match thread
Honestly what a s*** side…
They lose a final to the team that finished 9th, then decide to recruit Matt Thomas, Shaun Hampson & Todd Banfield to help them clinch the flag.
Now they're battling past the 18th side with a phenomenal run of umpiring favours.
Hardwick is finished.

Been happy with billy longer in the ruck and savage has been good also but f*** me are we getting a bad run with the umpires! Some of those decisions are disgracefull!

Clinton Jones has lost the ability to tag, therefore he should NEVER, EVER be given another game. What an absolute waste of space. It is embarrassing that he is on an AFL list. Even more embarrassing that he is on ours.

Without bagging your man, Cotchin has continued on even after Jones went onto him.sunsaint wrote:the truth - the tigers have been the most disappointing team in 2014dragit wrote:I think what is hard to take is getting beaten by a rubbish side…

Poorly coached rabble. Not switched again at the start of a match, terrible skills, undisciplined, midfield structures non existent. No excuses for this lot.

And we still lose by 7 goals… Cotchin BOG comfortably.sunsaint wrote:three goals in the first - two for the next three quartersdragit wrote: Without bagging your man, Cotchin has continued on even after Jones went onto him.
Jones did pretty well on Cotchin today but he wasn't the difference in a win or loss… 12 possessions at 66%, 6 tackles… he gave his all.
It's not personal, I'd just prefer we get experience into Saunders or Curren… who may not make it, but we won't find out till they hit 50 - 80 games.

Re: Saints v Tigers Match thread
If I hear that was an acceptable game I will spew!
Positives first:
Longer best game for the club.
Savage likewise.
Michington has a future.
Webster is a real goer I hope his foot is ok!
Delaney AFL recruit of the year in my books but wont get recognised externally.
Gwilt much better than last week.
Negatives:
We have far too many midfielders who are slow and killed on the spread and today they were smashed in contested possesion also.
We play a dumb poorly skilled game which teams just surround Reiwoldt wait for the turnover and then take off at speed. It has been happening all year why cant our coaching staff correct it? Too many players not capable or prepared to work hard enough even against a vey ordinary side in Richmond.
This worst prepared, recourced and coached Saints side I have seen since the 80!

no problems with that - perhaps we should start looking at dropping Montagna?dragit wrote:
