What actually happened? Lee, Dunny etc?
Away this weekend, got back to room, turned on iPad to this site, looking forward to reading match thread to find out what actually happened.
The match thread did not cover a number of users in glory today.
So, I can read the stats (and the votes thread, which is much more enlightening), but can someone let me know how the new "ins" went today? And how did Billings go as the sub?
Many thanks in advance,
SF

Billings did nothing
Lee struggled, but what hope did he really have….
Dunnell was ordinary, can't see what others see in him personally….

I liked Lee and Billings. Dunnel I wasn't sure about, will have to watch the replay
Billings is one of the only players we have who can actually hit a target by foot. He delivered it nicely into the F50 a few times.

Lee ok in the second quarter. Dunell isnt an AFL player. Billings didnt get a big run but it maybe time for a rest anyway.

Thank you!
Pity about Dunny, but pretty much confirms what I thought last year. I guess there's a reason he hasn't made it back in.

Why bother? He's done at this level. Very handy at VFL level , could be good at SANFL or WAFL.maverick wrote:You can't just give Dunnell one game surely, got to have a few for a chance...

Billings did not do a lot, but his disposal is class. Leaves most of our senior players for dead.
I agree on Dunell unfortunately. His card should be marked.
Ray and Jones should not be played next match.

Lee had a handy first half when the Saints were competitive.
Like Stanley faded from the game when the saints midfield sank in te second half. Who would want to be a big saints forward with the woeful sprayed delivery of the Port game.

Lee's stats won't be anything startling but I thought there were some good signs from him. It was the first time I've seen him play as a tall. Previously he's looked to be a rangy half forward. Perhaps it's the weights or the diet but he looked both slimmer and stronger and those two together made him look taller. Also played with a manic intensity yesterday that I haven't noticed in him before. Worth persisting with.

He was told by the coaches to work on protecting the ball by marking out in front. Hopefully he's worked on that and he will play more of a tall role.

Jones just runs around in circles. Looks embarrassing as he knows he can't kick it or handball. So what's he meant to do?
