Re: Ink the Rubber Stamp
If I have any criticism of Sippa it is his 'look at me' mentality. He seems very conscious of the camera being on him and tries to looks cool and do a ball spin or something and puff the chest out like a peacock.
Dude. Dont worry about the camera or trying to look cool. Just execute. I know Dermie and the Duck did it but you aint in the same league so just get the basics right first.
But overall I give him thumbs up for tonight. If we honoured some of his leads a bit more often he might have had 5 or 6 shots on goal. Thats a decent contribution.

Agree to some extent. He's the opposite of CJ who always looks funny no matter what he does - but you have to admire his selfless endeavour.Con Gorozidis wrote:If I have any criticism of it is his 'look at me' mentality. He wasn't great, but that's mostly to do with one problem that has plagued this team for a decade.

Of all the games he's played that was his best effort defensively tonight and he was still going at the end.

The one-man forward line problem?

are you saying that if he plays on monday and does no good , he'll get the chop at the end of the season .
If you are , i think there are probably 8 guys who will get de-listed before him .
no,s. 4, 7 , 8 , 13 , 25 , 31 , 33 , 37 .
number 7 will be his call !
the rest are older players who are playing average football and/or injury prone .
Why would you get rid of a developing kid who may not make it , for an old player who is past there best !
Totally agree we are tanking you only had to be at the game add Lenny
Standing Riewoldt at turnover territory many times 3 on 1 allow Yarran to run unmanned between half back and goals
Instructing players to do it.
Sorry we had no intention of winning that game forget going after Gold Coast game too because we are tanking
Re: Ink the Rubber Stamp
I meant the "kick it to Roo at every single forward thrust even when he doesn't have an inch on his defender" problem.
But the disposal problem would come as a close second.

Re: Ink the Rubber Stamp
I thought he ran really hard to defend the ball coming out and was pretty impressed in his fitness gain. Needs more of it but showed some signs.
Re: Ink the Rubber Stamp
Sippos hit a few packs hard bringing the ball to ground. But he only really got involved in the game in junk time. Needs to find a way to be more impactful (word?) if he wants to cement a spot.

Re: Ink the Rubber Stamp
I was happy he worked his way into it a bit. Should've kicked at least 2.
Main thing is he's given a few consecutive games to see if he can show some consistency.
