Adam Treloar update
A couple of weeks ago I posted that Adam Treloar from GWS was looking to come home. I have since found out his preferred clubs are St.Kilda, Essendon and Collingwood.
He is not keen to renew his contract the end of next year (lack of recognition, want to come home). Worth a word to anyone that know any of the recruiters or even the pelican......he is a gun and would fit very nicely in our team.

Re: Adam Treloar update
Why would u want to go to BOmbers knowing what's hanging over their filthy heads..
“Yeah….nah””
Re: Adam Treloar update
This is such a tease, but GWS would want our top 5 pick for him.
A Dom Tyson type deal might work, if they were keen on that, or we could try to get someone like Jaksch with our first pick too. I guess it all depends on how we rate the draft but to be honest, we need forwards and talls which is what this draft is.
It would take a miracle to get a gun like Adam though, so I won't be holding my breath

Ill spew if he ends up at the pies.
I cant possibly see how the bombers could get him ?
For a pick 5 - id do that yes.

A proven top pick at afl level seems safer than the draft.
As said would depend on how we assess the draft.
Or perhaps trade our top pick then let pelchen do his thing and get a couple good picks elsewhere

The guy just had a very serious, life threatening injury, from which all in the AFL world hope he has a full recovery.
If he is come to us, even for pick 5, which he would be worth fully fit, we must make sure this injury does not jeopardise is long term viability.

Would sell the farm for this kid.
He's an absolute gun. Tough, hard, fast, kicks goals, great attitude, turns 23 in March. Played 22 games last year and his worst game saw him grab 22 touches. Wow.
Will be looking for $600k-700k per year bracket. And he's probably worth it.

The suspensions could be all out of the way by end of the year. Once you take that out of the equation they have a half decent list and are in the mix for finals in 2016.Teflon wrote:Why would u want to go to BOmbers knowing what's hanging over their filthy heads..
Collingwood have an emerging list - also in the mix for finals in 2016.
St Kilda have a developing list. Not in the mix for finals until 2018 at the earliest - maybe later, with 4 of our best players (Roo, Joey, Fisher, Dempster) on the doorstep of retirement in 2016/7.
A fringe player may consider St Kilda as a club that provides an opportunity for a regular game. If you are a gun player why would you want to come to St Kilda unless of course there is Tom Boyd money on the table or you are a masochist. If he is "considering" St Kilda - its only to help drive up his potential pay packet.

Re: Adam Treloar update
I think with Cameron and Griffen signing up GWS players have some momentum now and probably see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The worst is behind them on-field and they know they have the talent to play finals and everyone knows the AFL draft concessions they got were very very generous.
I think the players will start believing it is worth their while to stick around for 3 more years. If I was a player manager for a GWS player id be telling them to stick around for a few more years - try and win a flag with this group. Then cash in and return to Melbourne when ur 27-28.
