The tctics only worked in the first quarter. They beat us because they were better in second quarter. The balme lies in ability not the coach. At least 4 times that quarter a good average kick to a player would have got us goals but they stuffed up.
Agreed. Never understood this "outcoached" BS. Always heard it about GT. THink it is just a lazy way to not blame appalling disposal, decision making, and a better opposition.
Well, that's not strictly correct. Of course skills and conversion hurt, but good tactics are, for example, what makes Ross Lyon such an effective coach.
A team which is able to use the space efficiently to defend and attack; pressing at certain times, have certain players around stoppages in certain situations, blocking of runners - it's not instinctive skill, it's pre-determined tactics. Not to mention match-ups and rotations.
Richo was out-coached by a guy who's been around for three years. No worries - he'll learn, he'll see how they set up, what they did well, what they didn't do well, how we can improve.
We're starting from a long way back as a club, including our coach.
