Get there early for a bit of Spencer action!
I think we can draw from this who the 22 will be for Rd 1?

First game back from injury. Means nothing more than easing into the action I reckon.sasaint wrote:Interesting that Spencer only gets a run in the 2s. I wonder what that means?

Re: Sandy v Frankston 15 March !!
It means he hasn't played since July and hes 19 yo and they want to ease him back in to footy. He also probably hasnt run at training either in a few weeks. Nothing more nothing less. Just sensible. Same as Milera. Probably hasnt even been running at training.sasaint wrote:Interesting that Spencer only gets a run in the 2s. I wonder what that means?

Reports suggest Spence and Milera didnt do anything in the Dev game. Just had a bit of a trot around.

Since when is two backs having a run back from injury a third of our list???? Wasn't it only White and Milera having a run with the Magoo's ??Con Gorozidis wrote:Bit of a worry when a third of our AFL list cant beat Frankston.

Not really. Billings doing some good things which is encouraging. Del and Bruce doing some good some not so good things. Not really noticing Seb but I never do as he is so inside. Zero goals five at half time... yuck! Longer getting monstered in the ruck at times by a big bald bloke. Actually, Markworth is showing some encouraging signs too. Tom Lee really struggling for confidence as is Simpkin. Sippo non existent...falka wrote:Players really putting their hand up for rd 1????

Re: Sandy v Frankston 15 March !!
2 huge positives so far are Holmes & Billings.
Apart from that - its a bit of a worry.

Windy, horrible skills, slow!
Holmes, Billing and markworth at times were showing glimpses, otherwise the rest looked GOP at VFL level.
More often than not out pointed by their opponents

Re: Sandy v Frankston 15 March !!
Billings was a real positive, overhead marking one on one a feature, kicked a couple of good goals and looked a class above most times - I don't think he'd be able to run out a full game in the ones. Both he and Dan played a fair bit through the middle with Dan being a bit of an everywhere man.
Markworth faded out of the game but just needs to blow out the cobwebs and I can see him playing ones footy, early on he was a class above.
As for the others, its a worry. Del and Longer didn't play much of the second half if at all. Holmes was ok but that's only because we have such low expectations, if it was say, Hickey playing the game Holmes played we would say he had a shocker.
Bruce was alright, I thinks he will definitely be a player.
Wind out on the ground was really swirly, a shockin day for footy really but Simpkin, Sippo and Lee all really disappointing.

They did compare his marking to Bartel.
This is promising!
Class above is what I like to here. These are the difference players.

Re: Sandy v Frankston 15 March !!
Well from today we need Billings Bruce and Markworth to be good. I can live with that. If all of those 3 turn out above average at AFL level - we have done ok.
Re: Sandy v Frankston 15 March !!
Some different views
Both Lourey and Haretuku out pointed Bruce easily and often.... The Frankston coach wanted him isolated.
The Billings does not fumble or miss a target call was over the top... He did both, but showed glimpses... He ran the game out well...
Longer left at HT
Markworth is quick and evasive, but makes some poor decisions with the footy.....
Siposs was running in concrete boots
McPhee was rapt with Holmes, and suggest he got right on top of Gabriel and did everything asked of him... Drifted fwd and took a contested mark... Kicked 1.1 and had 30+ hit outs
Dunnell, Shenton, Simpkin, Siposs, Lee, Weller were all just average
Ross easily won the most footy, but wasn't damaging
TDL .... Seriously what did we trade him for and what for??

tdl is not an afl standard footballer........maybe we should have kept the draft pick we used(wasted maybe?) on bruce to secure tom langdon.......i saw him play twice last year for sandy...he looked the goods......mcphee should have tried harder to get him on our list...imho....
.everybody still loves lenny....and we always will

Good report marto - one bloke over on bigfooty was trying to claim Siposs had a good game - but most others say he was a non contributor...
Re: Sandy v Frankston 15 March !!
Arryn is either clearly unfit ATM or has no engine
Billings should play next week without doubt imho

What position was Arryn playing? I have no idea how he fits in at AFL level.
Is he a 3rd fwd?
