Why do you bother, citywest? Last? How predictable. Why don't you just f$&k off? If you were a clever troll, at least we could get something from your contributions. You're input is as predictable as it is pathetic.

What is your problem. I honestly think we will finish last. Have a look at my predicted ladder and you will notice I have put a lot of thought into it. I still think the Saints are on the right track but it will be 1 more year before we start climbing the ladder.

Have a look at my signature, 2014 is 2000.

If you had any idea about the game I dont think we could win the Brownlow and the Coleman and still finish last. Its an opinion all of this but if its uninformed it should be challenged. Most of what you write seems very uninformed.

No pressure on our new recruits but they had better be better than they are so far. That said I like the kids we got...they just had better get good quickly so I don't have to look at the Hawks recruiting and the Pies and cry a little.
Acres has a chance of actually being the best player in this draft which we will not know for another 5 or so years at least, I would've been furious if we'd taken Hartung over Acres, we don't need another midget on our list, Acres provides something we don't have much of - a tall mid with excellent athletic pedigree who can play anywhere with fantastic leadership credentials. Hartung is a fit, small runner who had issues following instructions.

If Hartung comes good, then every other team other than Essendon can kick themselves also. I'm sure plenty of teams will kick themselves when they see Every kid in the land with Templetons # on their back or Acres.
I agree, I reckon Templeton will be the real surprise packet amongst our draftees this year.

I had a good look at him a few times last year and I reckon he'll come on in leaps and bounds.

I can't help thinking the Pies will do a Hawks.

The Hawks won young in 2008 - then runner up in 2012 and won in 2013

I think the pies will be dangerous in the next two years.

I like the look of Acres but the hawks did really well from a pretty average draft position. Eli looks a score. He could be the real surprise packet. I remember when they reviewed the draft the analysts said the one player they couldn't believe didn't get picked was Templeton. They said he had everything needed to make it as an AFL player and said he would def be rookied. They didn't mention any others. Colquhoun was that player last year and he was a great find.

What they did well last trade period is to add some solid players into their young-middle group. Jesse White (26, 71 games), Taylor Adams (20, 31 games), Tony Armstrong (24, 29 games), Pat Karnezis (21, 21 games). That adds to an already solid group that the last couple of years has really started to harden: Macaffer, Fasolo, Sinclair, Elliott, Seedsman, Keefe, Williams, Dwyer, Thomas, Kennedy, Witts, Grundy.

Makings of a strong core there. Probably 2015 before they really kick into gear but you could well be right.

Agreed, BH. Fuc$@ng pies! They have started their rebuild over the past two years. They have snared the five first round picks in the space of two years, that our own Chris Pelchen sees as vital for success. Somehow they got first round picks for donkeys like Wellingham and Dawes, but then again, good luck to them. Like most of the powerful clubs, their rebuild will take place at the bottom end of the eight, rather than at the bottom itself.

I'm no clairvoyant but all I hope for is as many wins as possible. I don't think St.Kilda are as bad as what alot are writing on here and I reckon quite a few are hedging their bets.

The Saints will actually surprise everyone and sneak into the eight. If Schneider can stay uninjured, and Lee has a solid season, plus the addition of Savage and the improving Curren then on average we should kick a few more goals per game than last season. I expect the Hawks and Freo will drop back a couple of rungs and Sydney will be up there again.
