Fart and blame the dog or the pies supporter.
It shows off your passive aggressive side.

Tell them that the only reason they won their most recent flags is that the opposition was coached by the king of runners ups!

Collingwood - taunt them about their players systematically flaunting drug loopholes by self-reporting, and ask how the "dynasty" they were all predicting in 2010 is going. If they retort badger them about ditching their premiership coach in favour of Eddie's love child and how that has torn the fabric of their club asunder...
Hawks is tougher. Make up a plausible story about Big Mac having a rare degenerative muscle disorder which is why he can't jump and that we totally stitched them in that trade. It won't hold water long-term but might make them sceptical enough to get them off your back on Xmas Day.
Merry Xmas Sainters!!!

the one that works for me has always been; a suitable pause to reply, and then (accompanied with a quizzical look) "Sorry? did you say something?" Other than that? cop it sweet but be sure to REMEMBER, and be ready when THEIR tough times come!

Or,...In keeping with Christmas spirit... it is better to give than to receive. Do unto other before they do unto you!

The perfect reply is as follows: "You know it is sweet but also kind of sad that you feel the need to tie your self worth to how a bunch of young men, who could not care less whether you live or die, go about kicking a piece of pigs skin around. I always find it comical how some people believe that because a team they arbitrarily selected at some point in their principally worthless existence was awarded a cup for being very good at kicking an inflated bag around, that somehow that places them on some form of higher moral ground than others. I, myself follow football for the joys of experiencing the highs and lows that the game can throw up and am not so insecure that I must support a successful side as to do otherwise would make me less of a man. Anyway what was that you were saying about football?"
